My answer to the six questions is easy: Palin has been POLLING the whole time she was bus touring, doing the movie and so on. And the polling #s, particularly the negatives among women and independents, haven’t improved. And she’s smart enough to know it.

RE :”So on the strength of Bristol saying “she(Sarah) definitely knows”. You are willing to dump one of the best and brightest our side has come up with in along time?

I don't buy completely implausible explanations that are obviously contrary to multiple facts.

I know the ‘you are attacking Sarah’ song will continue to be the endless answer for everything with some, but the other day C4P speculated that Palin was not telling the truth in her Greta interview last week, that it was all a head fake to launch a surprise announcement. So was C4P all part of the grand PDS conspiracy??

“She just became “Sarah who?””

I have similar concerns, but see below the only FR post I will make on her decision, except to say that her voice needs to be heard, loudly and often.

“...But few politicians aren’t addicted to celebrity or a high opinion of themselves.Palin isn’t unique in that respect, she’s just BETTER at being a celebrity than most politicians, which is why it gets noticed...”

The striking reason I choose to support Palin is because she sincerely represents the will of the people, a long lost virtue in politics. THAT’S what primarily makes her UNIQUE. She has the amazing instinctive ability of connecting with people, exactly where it matters.

All one has to do is observe and analyze her EXPERIENCE. Get past the (media and gop establishment) engineered curtain of manufactured vilification. Then, take a close, honest look at Palin’s RECORD.

SHE IS UNIQUE, because she refuses to play the game. Her opponents will always hate her for that. And they will market that hate to no end, hoping to carry on board with them all those who want to play along, those who decide not to actually do their homework and LOOK AT HER RECORD.

This country needs her governing style, rather than a bunch of frightened ninnies unwilling to buck the system.

Just a few days ago a statement like that would have brought scorn and multiple attacks for repeating PDS/DU propaganda. But today it is a positive??

Your basic point is she was running for POTUS in May as stated by the C4P post but yesterday (or recently) she decided to stop running because of her negative poll numbers. All without an announcement or filing? Correct?

Maybe you could give it an f’n rest for 24 hours. You’re not winning any converts with your gloating and holier than thou attitude.

You prefer the 'holier than thou' attitude of the wailing 'Sarah Can Do No Wrong' brigades?

Stuff it punk.

Cain/Palin 2012

Cain/Rubio 2012

Cain/Gingrich 2012

Yes, I heard on talk radio this am (forget the host’s name) ... that Palin remains on short list for VP.

I guess that the reason that I’m not freaking out is that there are two - possibly three - good conservatives in the race.

SP wasn’t our last hope, for cryin’ out loud. If we were down to three RINOs, I’d be hitting the bottle right about now.

Yes, I’m pretty irritated about the dozen Palin freaks who rudely attacked anyone who even thought that she might not run. But I think that they got the message. (Well, most of them did.)

Time to move on. We do have other horses in this race and one of them is doing pretty well.

It is going to be Romney...he will likely do everything he can into talking Rubio into the #2 position

Marco Rubio is no more a natural born citizen than Obama, and anybody who pushes him for POTUS or VP has no respect for the Constitution.

Depends on what you mean by "running." As a real candidate, no. As a stealth, check-out-the-waters, see what happens, yes.

There was never a grand, incredibly shrewd "unconventional" plan here. The plan all along was to try and change her poll numbers with the bus tour and the movie. It didn't work.

I never bought the grand strategy/unconventional campaign nonsense. She kept her options open, I think, precisely because so long as she was a "candidate" or potential candidate, she could generate news and get coverage of her (important) comments against Obama. But now such coverage will necessarily diminish. I don't care what she said on Greta and don't dwell on it.

All along it was about things you can touch and see: was there a real organization? No. Were there campaign HQ in every important primary state/swing state? No. Was "conservatives4Palin" a legitimate site? Well, when you go to half the states on the little map and click on them "Not response" comes up, so I never thought that was legitimate evidence of an organization.

I think if her polling early on had suggested a softening of the negativity surrounding her by women and indies, she absolutely would have set up an organization and run. But it didn't.
