I'm heading to the Caribbean, and from there will watch this once proud nation crumble under either the RINO leadership of a Romney/Perry, or due to the disastrously ineffectual missteps of her second not-up-to-the-task president in a row.

Unlike those who snipe from their armchairs while continuing to put up with this miasma of mediocrity, I'm f%$&ing outta here before it explodes.

Palin could have turned it around. There isn't another Palin in the wings. America is finished, and Palin did it.

All due respect....her remaining 'engaged and very vocal' is the least of my concern now.....

...her decision has hurt so many people.....people who had built great hope with this woman.....as well as I....

..personally I don't want to hear or see her for a great while.

Your callousness is palpable. What’s the point in your post? Do you think we would do otherwise? You have no idea what America has lost. Palin is a casualty of the debasement of media and culture, let those who yearn for a noble leader to take a breath. Is that too much to ask?

wow really? such drama! good grief. As for me, I'm probably going to support Cain in the primaries, not that my sickening state (California) will help in the general.

Sarah won’t have the influence she thinks she will. I don’t care who she endorses. I don’t vote based upon what others say. To say she can have more influence than being President is really stupid. What a waste of time this all has been.

“This country is through. It’s all over.”

Pity you think that because it’s obvious that Sarah doesn’t.

Then based on this.... Cain is definitely OUT

How so? Cain has extensive life, executive and business experience. He just has limited experience sucking on the government teat.

Not what I'd hoped to hear but the show must go on and Obama MUST be defeated.

Sadly, I agree with every word you said in post # 48.

We will replace one guy who wasn't ready for the Presidency -- and is in over his head, with a DIFFERENT guy who isn't ready for the Presidency -- and will be in WAY over his head.

At a time when we are 15 Trillion in debt and war in the Middle East is a certainty.

She may have intended to run earlier, but she read the tea leaves.

You know she never said for sure she would run.

You dreamed that up and didn’t listen to her.

I know he’s not popular here but I really think Romney should get the nomination. Plenty of experience in private and government, maturity. He looks and acts like a President.

Cain is fine, but I doubt he can win in Nov. How many Presidents have had zero govt. experience, excluding 4 star generals?

Don’t get me wrong I disagree wit him on gun control, but with a Republican Congress I’m not too worried. You will never have a perfect candidate.

Not unexpected.

All,

Give Palin supporters time to grieve and don’t be snotty. They invested a lot in her and are disappointed. Remember ... they’re fellow FReepers not enemies. You wouln’t rub disappointment in a friend’s face. Don’t do it to your FRiends either.

My vote will NOT go to Romney under any circumstance.

Mine will, IF he's the candidate against Obama.

No sane or rational human being who actually thinks it through could possibly conclude that our country would be better off under the control of the Kenyan Marxist for another four years.

What I will NOT do is cast or fail to cast my vote in any manner whatsoever that would even indirectly or incrementally benefit Obama. No way in hell.

Obama is the enemy here, folks. Obama. Let me spell it out for all of you: O-B-A-M-A I-S T-H-E E-N-E-M-Y.

Palin is sane and rational. Because she is sane and rational, I am absolutely confident that she too will vote without any hesitation for Romney if he is the Republican nominee.

Why did she have us wait?

That should have been your clue. The Florida and SC primaries are now in January. NV moved up. If they haven't already, IA and NH will move up. That is three months away. Did you really think that she was going to start a campaign for President of the United States of America three months from the first, critically important, primaries?

Heck, people--with big checkbooks--were begging Christie to run and he still said no. Why come in now, lose, and then mess up your chances later?
