While I am bummed, I have a strong feeling, Palin is being led by God. And I’ve heard her state numerous times, that the decision on whether to run, was to be decided with her family, and whether or not it would be most beneficial for the country.

Maybe she decided being a non-politician, a regular citizen, would have more impact on getting people to wake up and be informed. And she has stated as well, that having a “title” (like President) and campaigning, would involve handlers and people who would want to mold her, or shape the message.

If it’s one thing I’ve noticed about Sarah, she will not be molded, she will not let her message be shaped and she will not be hindered by anyone, in getting the message out. And being that it’s not HER message, more power to her and God bless her.

Now...to focus on Cain for 2012 (IMO)

She is letting her country down and that is a disgrace. Doesnt she have any guts at all ? She just freaking rolled over and conceded victory to her enemies.

No. She let YOU down. When did you get to speak for the country?

Look, I wanted Mike Pence or Mitch Daniels to run. Didn't happen. I got over it.

What the hell is wrong with her ?

Maybe she doesn't want to deal with the Andrew Sullivans and Joe McGinnis types out there going after her family. I don't blame her. If I was one of the family members, I'd be putting McGinnis and Sullivan in the hospital for their attacks.

Politics is war and politics is hell. It is what it is and we need to stop being pied pipers and looking for leaders, start leading our selves, and go out and change things in our own areas. We need to be our own leaders.

For all those who are saying it’s over IT IS NOT. Cain is gaining steam like nobody’s business. He’s doing great in the debates, he’s along the tea party line too.

GET BEHIND CAIN, HE’S OUR GUY FOLKS.

This sucks. The only good thing that might come out of this is if it encourages everyone to rally around Cain or other conservative so we don’t end up with Romney.

I’ve lurked here for about eight years, but this is my first post. Sorry if I do anything wrong in posting it.

I’m actually relieved in my spirit. My head said she should run but my spirit has consistently said she should not. Like she said, her responsibilities to God, family and then country are in that order and she followed God’s leading in her decision. She has strengthened my belief in her wisdom with this decision. I couldn’t get the vision of the disruption to her family that a run for Presidency and if elected the responsibilities of office would have had on her family especially with a special needs child. She made the right decision and will still have incredible influence. I am proud of her.

Remember ... they’re fellow FReepers not enemies. You wouln’t rub disappointment in a friend’s face. Don’t do it to your FRiends either.

As a Bachmann supporter I concur completely.

This was the worst decision she could have made......I am crushed beyond belief and wonder what they threatened her with to get her out, she was always running and we all knew it.

Are you saying Palin is lying in her letter stating her reasons for not running?

She can't be at once this super-human, kick-ass, only-one-who-will-stand-up-to-the-elites Superhero, yet be able to victimized by some "threats" that then force her to go against her own judgment.

Cain won’t select her as VP he needs a Newt like VP.

Newt would be a good VP choice, but I'm thinking that at some point it will be Perry/Cain or Cain/Perry, depending on who's more popular when the time comes.

I will probably vote for Perry in the MI primary,

I may go that way. I haven't decided yet outside of no Mitt, no Newt, and no Huntsman.

Well Since Cain is finally rising then it is him. Bachmann fell apart when Perry went in. I had been hoping Palin would get in last month, but now Cain is the only choice for me.

Yes, Romney is a douche, but if Palin calls the RNC to feel them out, and they say “Screw off, we’re not funding you, we don’t really want to deal with you,” then what’s she supposed to do?

Her only option is 3rd Party. 3rd Party splits the GOP vote, possibly causing the Malicious Moslem to win another 4 years.

She mentioned that specifically in the Mark Levin convo, and it’s a major point.
