I don’t either. I like Newt, and he is my second chioce after Santorum, but I’m going to have a hard time voting for him, not because of anything he has done but because his supporters are really some of the nastiest people I’ve come across on the internet.

True. These people either have no idea of the damage they're causing or don't care. They're ripping Rick Santorum like they did Perry and that can only end in Romney. Newt can't possibly get his numbers up in time for Michigan or AZ, especially after that previous debate where he really did blow it. So once they've destroyed Santorum, they won't even be able to hope for a brokered convention. The media will declare Mittens unstoppable and will work 24/7 to make it so.

Thanks for Romney, Guys! Can't tell you how much I appreciate it.

John King did a good job moderating tonight, with the exception of letting the back-and-forth between Romney and Santorum go on too long. The real bad moderators are the ones from CBS/NBC/ABC with their snide liberal attitudes and fishing for harmful sound bites from the Republicans. CNN does a decent job of having the moderators keep their opinions and slant out of it.

Most of the posters tonight say Saint Rick did very poorly in this forum. I think he held his own, but he needed to shine like a lighthouse to cement MI and AZ, and that he did not do. I think he got caught up in “inside D.C. baseball” and that confuses our little uninformed voters. Still he answered all the questions and made no errors that I detected. I also wonder if Newt and Mittens also did not endorse Specter in 2004. I wonder if Newt can regain so much lost territory; so Feb. 28 should be crucial.

Governor Perry looked intense. He wasn't anywhere near the top of my list, but he was impressive when he talked about his passions. GUN rights, law and and the 10th amendment. I am genuinely looking forward to hearing him on the stump talking about states rights. He is going to knock ‘em dead

He did fantastic, but it doesnt seem to be sticking with the masses.

He framed the debate whole Myth and Rick sniped, but it looks like Myth got the better of it from early internet polls.

We shall see.

I agree. You can’t discuss everything, particularly if you let Santorum and Romney wrangle far too much over nothing.

But I liked Newt’s answers about gas. If we use our own natural resources we can be the biggest energy producer in the world and we can ignore the middle east.

Just use a lot of intelligence operatives and bombs if necessary.

You know we may never get the person we need to beat Obama, with all the wishy people who read the polls :( Then jump on the flavor of the day... MItt is a beast and at best Rick is naive! Rick is not a reformer.. Newt is! Rick talks the talk, after he has stolen it from Newt, but Newt actually walks the walk!!

For those newt baggage people,,, believe the lies, that is what the Dens want! Wake up people.. Rick will do exactly like MItt, and play to your heart strings.. Rick is ONLY a social conservative.. he is not the whole package.. The only person left in this race that is... is NEWT! It is sad that people who are supposed to be the most knowledgeable on the net, will overlook Ricky's background!!!! I am sometimes ashamed of my so called conservative friends :(

Paul is following in Bachmann’s footsteps in the quest to be Romney’s bitch. Calls Gingrich a chickenhawk, call Santorum a fake, anything for the cause, which is a little more recognition & a good speaking slot at the convention.

I actually thought his response to Paul was good. One thing I notice about Paul is, he loves to attack Santorum and whoever the conservative frontrunner is, but I never see him go after Romney who is arguably the most liberal candidate. Why?

Romney showed his weakness on foreign policy. This isn’t the first time he gave the Herman Cain answer about consulting with his generals and doing whatever they say. That doesn’t cut it for commander-in-chief. It’s clear he is extremely weak on military issues having absolutely no experience in the private sector that would contribute to understanding the military. All the other candidates show greater knowledge of the military, and two of those have good foreign policies as well.

“You can ask the questions you want, but I can answer how I want.
********************

Romney does some version of that type thing in EVERY interview or debate.

It is his turn to talk darn it! *foot stomp* (usually hand is up in a blocking motion)

I wish somebody would go and collect all of that and make it into a youtube.

I don’t know how or I would do it.

It really is a bit outrageous.

His wife is a bit bossy, too.

When I saw her introduce Mitt after the Nevada win—I thought oh lawdy, another MEchelle.

Bossy but more a mommy bossy type.

Of the wives, I like Santorums and I think I like Newts, she seems shy and hangs back a bit.

Go! Gingrich!

—>I haven’t seen any of that, and I’m sorry if you have been treated that way. I spend the majority of my time in Santorum threads, and that is what I see. I’m not saying it’s all Newt supporters; it’s the same, general group of posters.

I have been brutally attached by some Rick S. supporters here. I have a short list of names. Just horrible experience. Rick has some of the nastiest supporters. They really need to calm down and help Newt to stop Romney.
