I'm getting a bad feeling about all of this.

Posted on 04/03/2012 1:44:05 PM PDT by servo1969

If there's one thing that Obama is a master at it's lying.

With that in mind I'm starting to feel really apprehensive about the SCOTUS vote on Obamacare.

I hate to say it but what if he's won?
What if he's managed to flip one of the judges (or didn't even have to)?
What if he's been informed by Kagan or Sotomayor that it's in the bag?
What if all these little statements to the press are just him loading the bases for a grand slam in June? So he can look Large and In Charge to all his minions?

I hate to be defeatist but I'm getting a sinking feeling in my stomach.

Jeez. If I have any grandkids they're gonna have to celebrate this c*cks*ckers birthday in school.

Any outcome is possible. Witness the decision to allow strip searching for a littering arrest.

5 to 4 the whole bill is tossed....not part...ALL of it. Kagan blabbed to Obama, and Obama panicked...He has since retracted, due to heavy criticism.

In that case, his grandstanding might cause a justice or two to change their minds and vote against it.

government employees to rule whether or not a ‘law’ passed by other government employees giving the government massive power and money should be allowed

hmmm... this is a tough one.

on the one hand you have the 236 year old dusty and tattered Constitution

on the other, you have increased yearly salaries, unsurpassed private healthcare for govt workers, lifetime pension plans, and unchecked governmental power

yea, this will be close

When Obama did his little rant against the USSC yesterday, he sounded somewhat subdued, maybe even depressed.

I can’t be certain but, after hearing him, my thought was that Kagan called him and told him he lost.

My opinion is the mandates will go, but the rest of the law will stay. No reason or inside knowledge on my part, but I just think that’s the best scenario we can hope for. And if by some miracle Romney should become president, don’t look for a repeal.

Nailed it. Remember those Blackberries the Admin has? Well i’d bet dollars to donuts Kagan sent a Blackberry Messenger message that it was toast, so he went into panic mode.

If that’s the case, we just crowned King Obama.

Kagan worked for Obama before anointed justice. I would not put it past Kagan to leak news to her master.

However, if the November elections go against Obama, then it is bad news for Obamacare anyways.

5 - 4 or 6 - 3? The questioning by the "Wise Latina" was almost as if she was one of us. Has she been listening to her Cardinals in Church and did it make an impression? Kagan? Ya I can see her sending a message. Yes he panicked, they just upped the meds. Although today was a Castro like Stem Winder on TV at the Diner. I read some of the propoganda, on the kyron and continued to eat my soup, he is loosing it...

I am cautiously optimistic that the law will be overturned.

Obama, for his part, chooses to display his habit of demonizing opponents, real or imaginary, (in this case, the Supremes) and his apparent internal need to blame.

Can't...Then that is truly Judical Activism, by them esentially writing law as Scalia noted we didn't want to read it because it was out of their Constitutional relm

I’m guessing on the 6-3,
and it’s 100% that he already knows how they voted.

"My opinion is the mandates will go, but the rest of the law will stay."

That is the worst possible senenrio. Because then you have the whole law in place with no funding mechanism. This would cost trillions more in taxes or deficit spending.

Same feeling I had when the bill was passed in the first place; that we will never be rid of this mess they have created. If you understand that their motive has nothing to do with health care, but rather control of 1/6 of the us economic activity and diverting premiums paid to insurance co’s into fedzilla’s revenue stream in perpertuity, then it becomes quite clear they will stop at nothing, including making scotus irrelevent, to reach their ends. Docs will start fleeing and the quality of care in the US will be no better than in Russia. I knew we were doomed since Nov 4, 2008, the night me and my wife shed tears for America. Not much has changed for my family, yet. But I am well aware that “change”, the transformation of America, is well under way, and will exact it’s toll on us and my kid’s once bright future in fairly short order. I will go vote for ABO, but 2008 surely proves there is not enough of us who care enough. The socialist transformation has taken root.
