We will not waste our limited resources on FR in support for a liberal progressive LIAR

A reminder for those who are not receiving the message:

Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesn’t even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.

I’ve stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that I’d never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.

C’mon. These are the reasons the tea party sprang up and the reasons he and Rove loathe the tea party and our tea party conservative candidates. Romney famously expressed his loathing for Reagan-Bush conservatism several years ago when he was trying to run to the left of Ted Kennedy and now he’s cloaking himself in Reagan conservatism, knowing full well that it’s a lie, but he knows it’s the only way he can possibly win, er buy the Republican nomination.

Screw Romney!! I absolutely will not support or vote for a proven compulsive liar with a known record of abortion and big government socialism, liberal appointments, etc. He still lies about RomneyCommieCare today. Calls it a “conservative solution.” Get real!!

Listen to what Ronald Reagan had to say about the elites pushing socialism on America via compulsory health insurance:

Ronald Reagan speaks out against RomneyCommieCare

There will be no campaign for this Massachusetts liberal liar on FR!!

Damn the libs and RINOS, full steam ahead!!

But no matter what happens we must turn out in November to vote IN as many conservatives and vote OUT as many rats as possible at all levels of government. If we don't have a conservative at the top of the ticket we must turn out anyway and vote straight conservative DOWN ticket!! Just think of it an off cycle election and pour on the TEA!! It'll be doubly important that we control both houses of congress and as many statehouses as possible.

Restore the 10th amendment!! Impeach the leftist president whoever he may be!! Restore Liberty!! Rebellion comes from the bottom up!!

WOO HOO!! I CAN SEE NOVEMBER FROM MY HOUSE!!

No Bama!! No Romney!! Go tea party rebellion!!

The Romney Economy

It is arresting to imagine a Romney White House, inevitably filled with as many former Bain colleagues as each of his other public ventures have been: The PowerPoints, the 80-20 jargon, the clinical separation of decision-making from ideology, the detachment of those decisions from moral consequence, a persistent blind spot for people as people. It would represent the final ascension of a perfectly American type, one that has already remade the culture of business. I once asked a Bain colleague of Romney’s how Romney thought of his own core competence. “I think Mitt thinks he’s good at being Mitt Romney,” the colleague said.

They try to portray you in the worst possible light... and when I travel around the United States meeting people in the Tea Party who care -- black, white, gay, straight -- anyone that's willing to stand next to me to fight the progressive left, I will be in that bunker, and if you're not in that bunker 'cause you're not satisfied with this candidate, more than shame on you. You're on the other side.

Amen!!!

I agree. It is hard to say you will not vote. But, simply, I am sick and tired of HAVING to vote for people that I would not dare share a meal with or invite to my home!!!! That is how bad it is in my humble opinion. I am simply sick of the lack of quality candidates that the republican party puts out. I have dropped out of the republican party a few years back. I am I guess an independent, but I am a solid conservative. I simply do not will not and cannot vote for people of this type. If people want to lose their minds over my choice, oh well. But I am going to vote my heart and soul, not my rear end. I do not like Romney. I do not like what he stands for. I do not like who he is. I do not like his politics. I do not like anything about him. Thus, I simply will not vote for him. This is the first time in my adult life that I will not vote for a president. I cannot vote for either because to me they are one and the same. Enemies of what I believe and stand for. If idiots here do not like that, tough stuff is all I have to say for them. The cowards that send me back channel FR mail just strengthens my resolve. They show me they are the same garbage as Romney and Obama are. So I do not care what the punks say. Enjoy. God bless.

My vote for Mitt Romnay is not really a vote for Mitt Romnay, but rather a vore to save America....better the devil that I do not know then the devil I already have.

We heard the same crap from McCain's operatives in 2008. Not going to fly this time. If Romney is the nominee, the Ruling Class and their Marxist allies have already won and everything you folks think you are preventing will happen anyway - and with much more thoroughness as the Conservative ideology as a viable political base will have been neutered and rendered irrelevant in the future course of the former Republic.

And so no one misunderstands, those of us who will NEVER vote for Romney ARE ABO. That means we will write-in our own Conservative in the top spot after voting straight Conservative for the House and Senate.

We will NEVER vote for Romney, because we refuse to drink the kool-aid being served to us by the Ruling Class oligarchs and by Obama himself - who CHOSE this candidate to be our nominee.

We're not playing that game, and we no longer have any obligation to an adulterous party that disdains and cheats on the base and time and again squashes and gives away our principles. We're divorced and will now only support those who have OUR principles as their own and have a record that we can agree supports our principles.

The fact that was self-evident in the last six years that few are willing to accept, is that the Ruling Class GOP-e WANTS to get rid of the Conservatives in their party anyway. They will use us to get into power and within moments, betray us and deny the Conservatives a voice, and that is how we end up with jewels of colossal failure like Boehner leading the party. We're done.

It was the Ruling Class working hand-in-hand with the Marxist Fascists that they are so enamored over and willing to work with that have and will cause the -re-election of Obama. I will not accept the insipid charge that voting for someone other than Romney makes us responsible for America's demise. That's pure bullsheist and the same stupid scare-tactic the McCainiacs foisted on us.

Enough Americans wanted a king, and they got Obama, and if enough American want government to be their god, they will get that too. You can thank the Ruling Class in the GOP -e and the MarxoFascists for creating the demand.

“Is one really better than the other?”

NO.

If all the GOP can come with for beating Obama is a pro-abortion, anti-gun, pro-mandate (coercion of citizens treated as the government’s subjects) liberal as Mitt Romney, I won’t vote for him and I’m through with the RINO GOP as well. Period.

Until I can vote again for candidates of a new Conservative Republicans Party ...

At least we aren't stuck on stupid or sheeple mode.

The political elites can go to hell and take Obamney with them.

I think I would define stuck on stupid as being willing to sit on ones real end and aid the re-election of Obama.

I am NOT a Romney supporter. I would rather have had ANY of the other candidates (except for Ron Paul). That being said...

I am an adult and I understand that the candidates I wanted did not win. Romney was better organized and had better funding.

This leaves me only four options:

1. Vote for Obama. Not gonna happen.
2. Vote for Romney. Distasteful.
3. Vote for a third party candidate.
4. Don’t vote.

Options 1, 3 and 4 help ensure an Obama victory. Options 3 and 4 might make me feel good for a bit - take that, establishment RINO’s! - but will lead to long term damage to our country that might never get set right.

I don’t like broccoli. It tastes nasty and gives me gas, but compared to most other vegetables, it is high in vitamins and, once past the gas, good for me.

Romney = Broccoli

Your choice is Obamney or Obamney. I prefer cheering on Gingrich and denying Obamney 1144. You seem stuck on defeatism.

Anyone who supports Romney, ESPECIALLY at this point in the game when he's not even the nominee yet, FAILS at conservatism.

You've gone wobbly on us.

You are compromised.

You've let your fear of Obama cause you to betray your values, principles and integrity.

You are cowardly hypocrites trying to drag the rest of us down your path of faithlessness.

It takes courage to stand your ground in the face of adversity, against the odds, against overwhelming naysaying of sheeplike herd mentality.

Be encouraged or GTFO, you are stinking up the place with your fail.

Single-handedly? No, but collectively you are playing right into Obama's re-election strategy. Sometimes principles do have to be set aside, but never forgotten. Think of it this way. If you hold steadfast to your principles and the country is destroyed, you will never have a chance to get your principles in place. Now does that really make sense?

Just out of curosity, who in your opinion was the conservative in the Republican party running, after Michele Bachmann dropped out of the race? To me there really wasn't any. Rick Santorum came the closest, but I had my doubts about him too.

I think Romney is a better option then Obama, would I prefer someone else? yes, but there's too much at stake. You refuse to acknowledge that Palin said anyone but Obama, that Bachmann will support Romney, as will Santorum, Newt and the Tea Party.

BTW, I remember a time when Newt was absolutely despised here, remember the Pelosi commercial he did? how do you know he won't embrace the global warming kooks if he wins? 2 can play that game if you want to go there.

As I read this thread, ALL of it, it is full of opinions including mine. some view this with fear, anger and confusion. They are saying WTH is going on here?

So, I will offer another one of opinions. I have been contributing my opinions here since 2004, been flamed and came close to be excluded from this valuable site but it’s all good, opinions must be confronted.

We are not robots here, if that were the case the site would be worthless.

To me, this is probably the best tread I’ve been privileged to watch and contribute to, by far. Even the anger, vitriol and bitterness reminds me what it must have been like when our country was being formed.

They were perilous times, our country was at a turning point in history. One can only imagine the conversations that were taking place at that time.

Does anyone think those conversations were without descent, anger and vitriol?

Does anyone think the all just got together one fine day and said...’Ok, guys, lets do this thing’ without fear, division and heated debate?

Much could be said the same thing is occurring today. Our country is at a turning point in our history. The same arguments, the same opinions are being expressed and the same fear that we could be at losing our Republic.

One of the most critical opinions and declarations by our Founding Fathers they ALL believed in was that we are a nation created under the hand of GOD.

It’s my opinion and I’m damn sure sticking to it.

Going to cross post something I wrote on another thread (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2871541/posts) as a cautionary tale. Bear in mind I am in the UK, which is a bit further down the path you are now travelling.

The entitlement culture and the deliberate degradation of education killed us.

We raised a generation where the way to get housed, fed and money for a few beers for people who had no worthwhile skills was to breed like rats. Any pregnant girl got her own, subsidised flat, child benefit payments once the kid was born, and income support to bring her up to a basic standard of living. The more kids she’d have, the more money she’d have.

The kids watched and learned to game the system almost from birth. Most of them knew education was useless, since it didn’t get you a job that would pay more than breeding. Heck, if you search for “Bread” on youtube, you’ll find an entire series about it - and it is a freaking comedy!

At the same time, education became a huge political football and was dumbed down in the name of inclusiveness. I caught the first wave of this - my first year at university was basically a recap of what I had learned (in school) when I was 15 years old! The powers that be do not want educated, well informed citizens, so they made sure that being one was almost impossible without significant effort.
And why try? You have the safety net, right?

That is the hell of it - it was good intentions that destroyed us.
I do hold that any member of society has the duty to help the ones who slip through the gaps (probably still slightly brainwashed there, but it is also a tenet of the Church) but people turned what was meant to be a temporary help into a lifestyle.

Our moment of no return was in (I think) 1997. The Conservative party were in power and were planning a huge overhaul of the benefits system. The unions had been firmly put in their place - and I am not anti union, but the excesses had gone too far until Thatcher trimmed them back. That created a lot of resentment among the left.

The takers looked, saw that they would be uncomfortable, maybe having to get off their backsides and find a job while having no qualifications or skills, and Labour got elected in a landslide. They voted for bread and circuses, and the producers were simply outnumbered.

Sort of where you are now, but it took us much longer to get to the same point. One of the things that I think delayed our fall slightly is a silly one on the surface - we pay to watch TV. If TV watching was free, we’d have fallen completely 2 decades ago.

We were killed by good intentions. No one stood up and said “This is wrong.” And so - our culture, a tiny island which once ruled half the planet, died.

Look, I know people are tired. Hurting. Broke. If nothing else, this thread shows that.

The Primary season is not over and there is still a conservative in the race.
If you can’t send money - and many can’t now, thanks to the economy being flushed - give your time.
Work the phones. People hang up on robocalls but are at least willing to listen to a real person.
Hit the streets and go door to door.

At least TRY to go for a brokered convention. Send the clear and unmistakable signal to the GOP that you WILL be heard and will not be herded.

DJ - not particularly aimed at you, as you ain’t giving up. You were just the last post on thread when I started this!

Romney is Obama. His record in Massachusetts mirrors Obamas. You think he's the lesser of two evils. That still makes him evil. You don't have a problem voting for evil? I do. I have principles.

The rest of your post isn't worth a reply.
