Rove, Romney and the GOP-e set out to destroy the tea party, and they are succeeding

Rove, Romney and the GOP-e loathe pro-life Reagan conservatism, loathe the small government tea party and set out to destroy them both. I hate to admit it, but they are succeeding.

As I see staunch pro-life conservatives and tea party patriots folding their small government tents in favor of Romney's GOP-e progressive, big government big tent, I can't help but see not only the end of the tea party, but the end of pro-life, pro-liberty conservatism within the Republican party. And if we cannot quickly recover, the end of liberty in America. America's great experiment in self-government by believers in life and liberty destroyed, not by the liberal progressive statists of the Democrat party, but by the liberal progressive statists of the Republican party. Where the statist Democrats have failed, the statist GOP-e will have succeeded.

There is absolutely no doubt that Romney's pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-socialist healthcare, statist big government record is identical to Obama's. Once upon a time in the not so distant past, conservatives automatically shunned big government statists. The GOP-e and the malignant genius, Karl Rove, figured out how to outflank us and turn the GOP totally against Reagan conservatism and against pro-Life, pro-family, pro-small government conservatives. It's an engineered coup d'etat against traditional small government conservatism and it is deadly.

THESE are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated. Britain, with an army to enforce her tyranny, has declared that she has a right (not only to TAX) but "to BIND us in ALL CASES WHATSOEVER" and if being bound in that manner, is not slavery, then is there not such a thing as slavery upon earth. Even the expression is impious; for so unlimited a power can belong only to God.

The fear of Obama has turned many among us into squishes who will set the pro-life conservative movement back forty years or more by surrendering to the abortionist/homosexualist, statist progressive, big government, corrupt crony capitalist agenda within the GOP.

We should not fear Obama to the point we elect an overstepping statist just like him, we should be determined to impeach his usurping treasonous ass! We should shun the Gop-e, shun Karl Rove, shun Romney, shun all of the big government, big tent, RINOS who have taken over the GOP. Rather than surrendering to the big government forces, we should be working full-time to elect pro-life, pro-small government conservatives into the majority of elective offices throughout this great land. If ever there was a time for pro-life conservatives and tea party patriots to stand their ground, it is NOW!! SURRENDER TO STATISM? NUTS!!

With conservative majorities in the legislative branches of the federal government and in the majority of all state and local governments, we can impeach and remove or expel the traitors amongst us from their executive posts, their high benches or their legislative seats and reclaim our Liberty!!

I am shocked by the number of supposedly pro-life conservatives who would promote these abortionist/homosexualist statists and dismayed that so many tea party patriots would fold their tents. Romney is the natural biological father of the big government unconstitutional statist RomneyCare/ObamaCare program that was the spark that ignited the tea party. And now the tea party sadly seems to be on the brink of surrendering to him before the fight has even begun.

Not me. I stand firm for Life and Liberty!! No Obama!! No Romney!! NOT ON MY WATCH!!

Yeah. Many of them are. I agree. I just meant all these so-called moderates always back none tea party conservative candidates and their guy was Romney.

That’s the problem. It doesn’t list line by line what he will cut. It gives a few examples, but nothing adding up to anything he is promising, and even what he does talk about tends to be only half the story, since other public statements contradict the website.

This stuff looks good to some random mook reading it without any analysis. But there is a reason why nobody can actually quote anything about Mittens plan without having to go to his website first... and even then, it doesn’t really express what he wants to do.

His campaign is built on Obama and catch phrases, not on plans. Ergo, he still does not have a legitimate plan for solving the main problems facing the country. He has no legitimate plan that acknowledges or tackles the biggest expenditures, and what little he does offer is suspect since just last year he was support the stimulus, TARP, and so on and so forth, and the RINOs are even saying on the sly that they plan to keep the “good parts of ObamaCare,” which makes one wonder how much we’re really going to save when everything is said and done? On top of that, I read about him answering a question about “how will you pay for this?” by responding with “we’re going to cut deductions on property taxes for the rich.” And, apparently, not just the rich.

He’s going to run us the same way he ran Massachusetts, which in that state consisted of him breaking all his promises, doing everything he said he wouldn’t do, and covering it all up with one gimmick after another.

“States will be free from Washington micromanagement, allowing them to develop innovative approaches that improve quality and reduce cost.””


Pam Bondi wants the states to consider RomneyCare as the solution to their woes. Since they plan to keep the “best parts” of ObamCare, they’ll likely pressure the states to do the enforcement, otherwise what they keep will destroy the healthcare system entirely.

Reading his website is like the last thing you’d want to do to know what Romney is doing. Listen to his speeches, his surrogates and what the GOPe says.

The TEA Party was never intended...

You should have stopped right there. It makes no sense to say what it was not intended for because it was not intended for anything else either. It just spontaneously happened.

Now from my perspective it makes no sense at all to say: "thou shalt not steal" or "thou shalt not covet" and then turn abound and say that murder and adultery are valid lifestyle choices.

Anyway, it's not a "group" and apparently not "political force" either and I could not care less about any of my TEA co-belligerents if they can't care less about the spilling of innocent blood. In that case we all deserve to be tread down.

What you say may be true, I don’t know. However, it all boils down to 2 choices - Obama or Romney. He can’t be worse than Obama and there’s too much at stake.

Incidentally, my choice was your name “Cain”. :) Not only was his wife not behind him but he might have had some indiscretions in the past - fine and dandy for Bill Clinton but not for Cain.

Anyway, heading to bed. I’ll vote for him, he is the only option - was always in Missouri and swing state so my vote counted but now in Kansas - assuming my vote counts here - don’t know how they swing yet, prob Republican state, at least this area is. Missouri was very conservative throughout most but we had St. Louis and KC to deal with so all our votes counted.

Oh, and Obama didn’t keep any of his campaign promises either - you know, the transparent government, the change in how government is run (unless you count more corruption as a change for the worse).

He’ll definitely be worse. He’ll rule like Obama with an R by his name, thus ruining our chances of getting a real candidate for at least the next 12 years. He’ll set back our movement, and the country, back to Pre-Reagan.

In my job, I deal with the safety of aircraft systems. When faced with a choice of bad alternatives, one takes the least bad alternative and tries to consider how to mitigate the issue, outside of the currently available alternatives.

Romney is no conservative, but he is more conservative (by orders of magnitude) over Obama.

The mitigation comes in down-ticket, I think. And in the infiltration of the process for selecting a presidential candidate.

I do not like Romney - I have stated before that I could not vote for him. In recent months I have reconsidered my position, and I despise the fact that the GOP-e has forced me into a corner - either vote Romney or accept another four years of Obama.

But that does not change the fact that local, House, and Senate votes can carry more conservative weight.

I do not know how to ameliorate the damage done by the centrist/liberal jerkwads in the GOP. But we can think outside the box a little, with breathing room bought by electing Liberal Romney.

A battle lost does not negate the war.
