Sad.
It’s safe to say that he was consumed by the internet, and absolute access to everything.
Ah under investigation by the FBI at one point. Interesting.
Internet Activist. Is that like the loudest screamer on the short bus?
RIP.
SURE he committed suicide.
I think it means "blogger".
“...And make it look like suicide.”

Another too convenient suicide. What did the man know, who could have access to so much knowledge? Sad that he is dead, or is this even for sure? There is little that we can be sure of anymore, with so much evil taking over government and information outlets.
wire fraud, computer fraud, unlawfully obtaining information from a protected computer, and recklessly damaging a protected computer, in relation to downloading roughly 4 million academic journal articles
was he active in the Harvard Ethics Center....doesn't reflect well on them.
You can tell because of the typical signs of suicide:
You forgot one.
Location of suicide Ft.Marcy Park.
Guess he didn’t choose the red pill.
And you wonder why journalism is corrupt....
"faced a maximum of $4 million in fines and more than 50 years in prison after the government increased the number of felony counts against Swartz to 13 from 4.""News of Swartz's suicide came only days after Jstor announced this week that it would make "more than 4.5 million articles" publicly available for free."
Shades of Breitbart...
Hey! Our Dear Leader went to Harvard.
It's hard to imagine that it's the same Harvard that expelled Teddy Kennedy for cheating.
Anonymously?
Thanks EveningStar. A flaming lib, and a thief who *got caught*.

[snip] A Harvard University fellow who was studying ethics was charged with hacking into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s computer network to steal nearly 5 million academic articles. [/snip]
The urinalist at the Daily News called the perp’s breaking and entering, hacking, vandalism, and theft as “swiping”. Swartz was facing $1 million fine and years in prison for his crime.

The “excuse” does not add up...the schools dropped the charges, but the Feds doubled down on the “big bad” nanny state/big government hater...hardly the profile of a “flaming lib”.
We are just like commie China and Russia now when we plant our political foes with dirt ...only we come up with waaay better excuses.

Swartz felt that since taxpayer money funded many of the articles in these journals, the taxpayers were entitled to read them without having to access them behind a firewall and/or pay a fee.
He was one of the foremost defenders of Internet freedom, and helped co-found several organizations dedicated to keeping government interference to a minimum.
He spearheaded efforts to fight bills which would have restricted that freedom or given the government more oversight over what you could see.
His death is a major blow to those who wanted to restrict government; and, as usual
the best coverage of this is in the British newspapers, not the American ones.
Swartz was the flaming lib, try reading next time.
BTTT
The three little pigs was really only two..there you read that as well...now go tell your mamma that she had the story wrong cause you read in on the “internets”.
