Weimaraner dog shot dead in owner’s back yard by police who were searching for missing three-year-old boy

Sean Kendall said the Salt Lake City animal control department contacted him and told him a police officer had shot his dog in the head. Kendall said that the dog had been locked up in the fenced backyard of his house.

He drove home and demanded answers about the incident from several police officers who were outside his house.

This cop should face the same time as any civilian who kills a police dog in self defense.

The only reason the police would shoot a dog in a fenced back yard is if they actually wanted to go in the back yard. Did they have a search warrant?

The cop could have backed off. How many postal workers shoot dogs? Since this is Salt Lake City, how many “missionaries” shoot dogs?

If I confronted the cop that shot my dog it wouldn’t be on video and he or she would never see or hear it coming.
