Friend in the military says they are about to go on "CODE RED."
He's in the reserves. About to be called up. Anyone else hearing this?
Ebola?

Most bases here are still on Code Lavender, especially Air Force bases.

Friend in the military says they are about to go on "CODE RED." I have several friends in the military, Sgts, 2nd Lts, Capts....and none of them have any clue as to what your friend is talking about. None of them have been put on alert or have heard of anything like that. Though, they probably wouldn't tell me if they wanted to. They're good soldiers.

The modern military is moving towards a fabulous “rainbow” code. But I thought that was stupid when it was used for terrorist threat warnings?
Who knows with these people anymore. Great for gays, great for air quality, stupid for terrorists.
Makes sense to somebody, somewhere I guess.

Never heard the term Code Red until that crappy Tom Cruise movie came out in the early 90’s. It’s never been part of Marine Corps language.
Maybe some army reserve and NG units use it, but I doubt it.

If I were a reservist about to be called up for a tour of duty in Liberia, I might be tempted to go Code Red as well.
