Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics and one of the most widely respected political analysts in the country, has come out with his final predictions for the 2014 midterms, and he predicts a good night for Republicans.

In his “Crystal Ball” picks, Sabato see an 8-seat pick-up for Republicans in the Senate, which would give them a 2-seat majority.

When and if they win the GOP will be more that happy to work with these bastards across the isle to make the empty suit look good for the rest of his term and help cover the sh## he bestowed on the American people and forge for history his imaginary legacy

If everybody who stayed home two years ago because Mitt wasn’t “conservative enough” has learned from their mistake and shows up today then it will be a good day. Otherwise...

Just think if we are a fair media, how well Republicans could do. It is amazing we win anything at all with the liberal bias in the media.

Are we maybe losing a seat somewhere that isn’t factored in? We shouldn’t be dissing Sabato. Maybe a retirement?

If the ‘pubs get the US Senate and they still don’t thrwart Obama, that will be real clarity that elections are not going to change the direction of the US. They’re out of excuses.

So enjoy 2014 Senate wins but long term if we get Dems+ Republicans conspiring on AMNESTY we are doomed

With a Republican Senate we should get an immigration reform bill that is predicated on effective border control. This has majority support even in the Hispanic community. Let Obama veto that.

If Northern Virginia were nuked (a good thing), Virginia would go back to being Red.

I say this as a native Virginian who spent time living in Northern Virginia.

“Could we be in for another disappointment like in 2012?”

as another doubting Thomas, i agree. demoncrats are masters of fraud and vote stealing, and the Pubs appear to be disinclined to do anything about it. God save America.

” Why were you “disappointed”? Anyone could tell Romney was toast in late October up until election day.”

that was not my perception. Romney was drawing huge crowds to his rallies towards the end of the campaign, and BO was not. then again, BO knew that the fix was in; so, why should he expend any energy other than appearing on various talk shows.

“Just think if we are a fair media, how well Republicans could do. It is amazing we win anything at all with the liberal bias in the media.”

isn’t that the truth. can you imagine what the MSM would have been shouting from the rooftops, if Bush, or any other Repub, had done what BO has done?

Issue no one is talking about. Given new make up of Senate, Harry Reid is pushed out and Chuck the Schmuck Schumer is new democrat Senate leader. Schmuckie is Reid on steriods in terms of partisanship and exercise of raw power. He will literally run over/chew up/spit out/crap out Mitch (the democrat prison b***h) and his get along go along colleagues.

Somebody had better come up with a plan for downsizing the Federal Government. From what I’ve been able to learn it is actually IMPOSSIBLE to fire a Federal Employee the way the rules stand now.

Chuck U as face of the Senate Democrats? Oh that will go over real well with middle America.

I haven't finished my morning coffee yet, but maybe Sabato is counting a Perdue win over Nunn as a “hold” rather than a pick-up for the Republicans since Chambliss-R is retiring from the Senate seat they are contesting.

As a fellow native Virginian and former resident of Northern Virginia, I noticed an interesting phenomenon among my Democrat friends in the Metro DC area. When they were young and single, they lived in DC or the close-in Maryland suburbs. As they got older, married, and had children, almost all of them bought houses in Northern Virginia. Unfortunately, they also brought with them their leftish political views and voting tendencies.
