It’s a difficult situation. Lot’s of good black people out there, but the “thug culture” is strong among the young.
Huntsville has undergone an interesting transformation. If you drew a four-mile circle around the middle of the town in 1977...it was a safe area and lots of growing business operations. Companies moved to the east side where cotton fields were located, and set up a great job market. The city built the interstate around the east-side of town....an extension of North-South interstate...probably the most brilliant idea in decades.
Well....guys got smart and bought property way out of town. They then went onto regional areas forty to sixty miles away...all connecting to their job site by the interstate. Guys work in Huntsville but they don’t live there.
Connected to this....the local town of Madison which was nothing in the 1960s....has become a major hub for money, real estate and better schools.
The problem years ahead now....while they can tax the companies and their real estate area...personal home taxes are maxed out now, and growing number of upper-income folks are NOT living in Huntsville. How they manage with the revenue scheme over the next forty years is a question mark. And Madison got smart...they drew their city limits and Huntsville can’t encroach upon them.
Ok I have no idea the statistics. But if what you say is true, 1 in 3, that is 33% and not 80%. Also you said “in their lifetime.” So that does not mean 33% of black men are criminals at any one time. And all those crimes are not violent. So the number are lower than 33%.
East Montgomery is fine. Stay in the car in West and South Montgomery, though.

If there was some way you could account for the ones who just haven't been caught yet, the percentage would be much higher than 50%.
It's mostly the stupid ones who are caught. The police seldom even get close to the smart ones, as it's a full time job just taking down the dumb ones.
Once Obola’s unaccompanied children get settled in all of America will be like that.

I work between Avondale and the airport. Its not so terrible. That being said I do carry an AK and a glock in my vehicle just in case. and there are good places to eat around here.

I go through Montgomery all the time. I usually spend a few nights a month there. It’s a lot better than it used to be. They’ve done a good job with their downtown area.
