It shows the depth of deception that God allows some people to operate under.

Same as for the Pharisees, who knew Scripture if anyone did, and yet went on to fulfill it in spite of themselves.

I think especially of the fulfillment of the prophecy of Judas and the thirty pieces of silver and what they did with it. How they did not see that they were fulfilling Scripture and try to do something else is beyond me.

some writers have said that Russia makes ‘two’ advances toward Israel...the first Russia will be defeated and run back home, the second time Russia will be with a vast army of M. Eastern countries listed. What you've reverenced is the second push against Israel, as Russia will still have some of it's military strength though greatly weakened....and will be the war of Armageddon...when many nations come to war in the Valley of Jehoshaphat.

I absolutely agree with caww's post, which runs parallel with the theories of Bible scholar and author Bill Salus, as well as many other contemporary scholars.

Salus' arguments are quite logical and based on Biblical scripture.

The Gog and Magog war is a massive war, that will involve many nations, but is believed by many scholars to be led by Russia and Iran.

But first, a proxy war will be fought, by the nations immediately surrounding Israel's borders. Today, Iran and other nations are feeding the proxy war of terrorism being inflicted by the likes of Hezbollah, ISIS, Hamas, and others.

According to the Psalm 83 interpretation, these nations will be defeated by the IDF, and Israel will greatly expand her borders - becoming very close to the original Biblical borders of Israel outlined in the Book of Genesis and the borders achieved by Kind David.

This war IMO might be preceded by the Psalm 83 war (with Isaiah 17 finally being fulfilled).

Christians often disagree on the timing of the Rapture, but it’s hard to argue that any of us will be here in a post-Ezekiel 39 world.
