Americans will defend to the death — and literally had to — Pamela Geller’s right to disseminate images of the Prophet Muhammad. The First Amendment applies even to irresponsible provocateurs.

A Geller-organized event in Texas over the weekend included inviting artists to draw images of Muhammad, an act that has provoked deadly attacks by some Islamists.

In explaining her rationale, Geller pointed to an Iranian Holocaust cartoon contest that drew nearly 1,000 entries, saying “We need to make a similar show of strength of what is right.” Which extended to a drawing of Muhammad anally impaled on a pencil up through his mouth.

Right of innocent passage is nebulous at best and only effective so long as the offending nation’s military superiority is prevalent in the area ... and still that is no guarantee.

It’s not a use it or lose it proposition, that’s the eventuality. The real issue is defend it or lose it, and that’s what Pamela Geller is all about imho.

I agree. Here's how they're going to do it...

They're going to carve out new exceptions for what they deem "hate speech". They're going to say that "hate speech" has no 1A protection. While I've heard the term "hate speech" before, I've heard them ramping up its use since this story broke.

Then they are going to make themselves the judges of what "hate speech" is. They will berate, belittle, shame anybody who stands against them. They will call them racists, bigots, homophobes, or other sort of "hater". That should get people to back down. People are terrified of being labeled a hater. The left knows that. The left uses that.

Once the people end up willingly giving them control of determining "hate speech", they will control what can and can't be said. The first amendment will be dead and controlled by the left.

There are Christian sects that do exist that would oppose pictures of themselves or Jesus or God- as a practical example they assert that requiring a photo on a drivers license violates their religious freedom because it is a form of graven image, specifically prohibited by Exodus 20: 4-6.

The thing is, when they object to the photo requirement for a drivers license, they typically go to court to litigate the issue, as opposed to say shooting up the DMV as an expression of their deeply held religious belief.

And when these stories do hit the news, these individuals are typically portrayed as ultra-fringe fundamentalist nut jobs and their beliefs are dismissed out of hand, if not outright ridiculed by the media.

To say I was shocked by what I heard from the callers is putting it mildly. I wanted to listen because I thought that the people would be calling in praising Pam. the only one I heard actually defending and praising her was Savage. And, as I previously stated, I only listened on and off. I could have missed one saying she did the right thing. In January 17,2015, and in the same public school center, there was a “Stand with the Prophet” rally by Muslims, a provocative pro-Shariah law event, by supporters Al-Qaida and Isis organized by one of the terrorists implicate in the bombing of the garage of the NY World Trade Center in 1993.

I wonder if those who try to blame the organizers of the “First Annual Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest,” for the Muslim terrorist attack would have justified if some patriotic American had irrupted in Muslim rally on January alive, a real grievance more justified than the alleged 2015 and made a massacre of Islamic terrorists. After all, Americans are profoundly offended by the abuse of our freedoms by those who made the Muslim rally in support of the savages that decapitate, crucify and burned Christians offense provoked among the Islamic fanatics by the Mohamed cartoons.

In January 2015, the radical Islamist desecrated the holy soil of Texas. Do not mess with Texas!!!
