Erick Erickson Disinvites Trump From Red State Gathering Over Megyn Kelly Insults
The Daily Caller ^ | Saturday, August 8, 2015 | Kerry Picket

Posted on 08/07/2015 10:46:29 PM PDT by kristinn

Red State’s Erick Erickson dis-invited GOP presidential candidate and businessman Donald Trump after he insulted Fox News anchor and Thursday night’s debate moderator Megyn Kelly during a CNN interview Friday night.

I have rescinded my invitation to Mr.Trump. While I have tried to give him great latitude, his remark about Megyn Kelly was a bridge too far — Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) August 8, 2015

“Well I just don’t respect her as a journalist. I have no respect for her. I think she’s highly overrated. But when I came out there what was I doing I’m not getting paid for this. I go out there. And you know they start saying lift up. And you know I didn’t know there would be 24 million people I figured but I knew it was going to be a big crowd because I get big crowds I get ratings they call me the ratings machine so I have you know she she gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions,” Trump said to CNN’s Don Lemon.

He went further saying, “And you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes blood coming out of her — whatever. She was in my opinion — she was off-base. And by the way, not in my opinion, in the opinion of hundreds of thousands of people on Twitter because it has been a brutal day. In one way a great day for Fox. in another day in the Twitter sphere it’s been very bad because she’s been very badly criticized. She’s a lightweight. I couldn’t care less about her.”

“And you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes blood coming out of her — whatever. "

Looking at the second part of the quote I see no definitive indication what he meant to say.

The guy is 70 years-old after all.

Folks that age sometimes get confused and lose their train of thought.

Seemed to be saying that he perceived that she was in a rage.

It is the word “whatever” that is being made to be a reference to an anatomical location associated with a woman’s menstrual cycle. In another quote, the word has been changed to the word “wherever” to put more emphasis on Trump’s suggestion. The Alinsky Method at demonizing a candidate is in full play here. I hope Trump has a rapid response mode to set the record straight.

Yes he clearly seemed to be saying she was in a rage, and I don't think anybody is saying otherwise. The question is what bloody body part was he going to refer to after he mentioned that there was blood coming out of her eyes?

I realize what they are trying to do.

But there is no way that they can definitively say that the menstrual cycle is what he was about to say.

Perhaps he didn’t have any other body part in mind which is why he cut off in mid-sentence. Have you ever been in a conversation where you are trying to come up with a hyperbole to try to convey how strongly you feel about something, and then in mid-sentence you realize you can’t think of anything? It happens. It’s happened to me before.

e.g. That was the worst song I’ve ever heard, it was like .. just really bad.

Kelly acted completely unprofessional at that debate, it was embarrassing. As those two Black ladies said, she ought to be delivering the news on Sesame Street between Kermit and Miss Piggy.

Erick Erickson operates the way of the DemonRATs. He uses the power of the politically correct to take away one's right of free speech. This issue is as trivial as a marble game. Like Trump said, this country “does not have time” for political correctness because of all the problems facing America. This is the big picture:

Now then, have we got the picture? There is work to be done and we don't care how one says it. We care if they can fix it.

Trump's locution is not as polished as your typical professional politicians. he hasn't spent years perfecting his sound bites. Eloquent speech is simply not his gift. With that in mind, it's not 100% obvious to me that he was, in fact, implying that Megyn was menstruating. It sounds to me like he was saying "she was out for my blood".

“Trump’s locution is not as polished as your typical professional politicians. He hasn’t spent years perfecting his sound bites.”

True on the first sentence, but I think false on the second. He knows what will get media attention - that is what he has been doing for many, many years.

I wonder if the analogy can be made with Trump and the other candidates to his Taj Mahal when it first opened in Atlantic City compared to the other casinos. It was so over the top. Extravagant, showy, the new star of Atlantic City.

But, it had huge cost over-runs, Trump lost lots of money on it right from the beginning and iirc he had to sell most of it off right away. I’m glad Trump is putting his voice and getting the press for some of the topics that others have been pushing for quite sometime. Mainly immigration.

After much success in the 1980s, Trump first got into trouble in Atlantic City around the time he opened the Trump Taj Mahal. Cost overruns led to the “Eighth Wonder of the World” casino looking chintzy when it opened. Contractors weren’t paid. According to Temples of Chance, a book on the Atlantic City casino industry by former Inquirer reporter David Johnston, the Taj Mahal bankruptcy cost Trump real estate, his yacht, his private plane and his helicopter.

Anyone recall Barack Obama's comments after Sarah Palin's hockey mom joke about, the difference being "lipstick?"

He said, you can put lipstick on a pig and it's still a pig.

And he compared her to a STINKING OLD FISH.

The Media Loved it! And the crowd went wild.

Palin had used the term Change, and she had just rocked the convention wirh a stirring speech and the Lipstick joke.

"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called 'change,'" Obama continued, "it's still gonna stink after eight years."

Oh boohoo Donald wasn’t civil to the Fox-bimboette.

Who cares Erickson and your little politically correct party.

The country is at the edge of hell........millions of babies murdered every year and the murderers are selling the babies body to get rich.

Obama and the left has just about neutered the military and our enemies who intend to kill us all are advancing while Obama golfs and parties. They are cutting off Christian children’s heads and the conversation is some leftist bimbo was insulted?!!

The courts are a corrupt cesspool with no regard for the Constitution. Liberty is dying.

Both political parties are bought and paid for, as matter of fact it is all one big house of prostitution....Washington, K street, foreign powers in our halls of power, the Marxist media, Hollypervertwood....they are all in it for the money.

God is mocked and banned daily as the sexually immoral fornicate and force their perverted ways on us and our children. They are erecting public statues of satan in our land!

94,000,000 million need jobs, which are now in China, Mexico, India...etc....with millions of illegal aliens pouring across the Mexican border trampling American prosperity under there feet.

And I am just painting the tip of the iceberg of death and evil in our land. The list is long.

BUT let’s dwell on Donald Trump’s uncivil remarks to Rosie Odonnell and Megyn bimbo. Trump is being too civil imo...let the wimps run and point from their holes...it is time to kick the innards out of the scum running this country and the bastards who own them along with this perverted sickness we call the American Media. Burn all their houses down and let the Rinos and Marxists cower. If we help tear down the guy fighting to end this sickness we are insane and deserve what we will surely get. All them civil Rinos will say nice and pretty words about the Foxbimboette as will Hilliary, take your pick if you stop Trump cause not one of them will fight for you like Trump is right now.

Red State looks like it’s in the GOP pocket to position their people as candidates....just as Fox sold us out to carry the GOP water.

They have to go after Trump and Cruz as the GOP is fighting to keep them from taking back the country and Washington...Cruz already has ‘a base’ in Congress and they know that.

Talk about a war!...this is frankly a war between a “few good men” against the GOP and DEMORATs.....unfortunately because Fox wants the Network as the GOP mainstay they’re going to hit hard on any candidates other than Jeb, Carly and possibly Walker......narrowing the field according to the GOP dictates is the game.

I hope Trump expands his criticism of Fox along the lines of post 17, give some context to the deeply treasonous nature of Fox News attack on free speech. The context as stated in post 17.
