Gov. Brown approves automatic (drivers license) voter registration for Californians

Targeting California’s recent record-low voter turnout, Gov. Jerry Brown on Saturday signed a measure that would eventually allow Californians to be automatically registered to vote when they go the the DMV to obtain or renew a driver’s license.

The measure, which would also allow Californians to opt out of registering, was introduced in response to the dismal 42% turnout in the November 2014 statewide election.

Now we know why they wanted to give drivers licenses to illegals.

“Now we know why they wanted to give drivers licenses to illegals.”

We will see. The Illegals licenses are different than those issued to citizens, and they are not supposed to allow illegals to use for things such as voter registration.

The low turnout may also have been a reaction to living in what is essentially a One Party State, where the local media openly cheerleads for one particular side and denigrates the other.

Now they will be able to tell whether someone voted or not. Not ‘how’ they voted but ‘if’ they voted. Then they can apply pressure to people to vote or else.

I think it should be unconstitutional for mandatory ‘automatic’ registration. Hope there are law firms that challenge this law.

Democrats dominate the state but its not enough. They want even more Democrat voters registered.

This is a typical leftist deal.

1) Get monopoly political power in a place, and spend time to insure it stays that way thereafter.

2) Eventually to make voting mandatory, because they are offended if the public “votes by not voting”, since they no longer have any choice.

Permanent visa (green card) holders can get legal driver’s license in all 50 states. But they are not US citizens. It is against federal law for non-citizens to vote in US elections. But do not hold your breath waiting for OBummer’s Justice dept. to prosecute anyone voting illegally.

We have no country if non-citizens can vote.

they could save themselves even more trouble by scrapping voter registration and just allowing anyone to vote anywhere as many times as they wanted. Just cut to the chase.

But wait a minute. I thought if Republicans moderated their extremist, racist conservative views, they would dominate? CA should be completely run by the GOP using the GOPe’s logic.

Voting in California is irrelevant. Nationally its 52 for dems locally , the Mexicans will own it all anyway.

Which means CDLs will not be acceptable for voting (not that the precinct directors will give a damn).

Brown’s treason is in his being a knowing accessory to the Mexican’s conquest of California. Many will live to see the formal raising of the Mexican flag over California’s public buildings.

Fiorina had a great opportunity to unseat Boxer, but in her mad fleeing dash to the middle, she removed any challenge to Boxer; what was the point of voting her in when she was of the same or similar position on virtually every issue voters cared about?

That is what drives low voter turnout - no options, no choices, no difference between the candidates.

Trump's yet to face an actual ballot, but I guarantee he'll drive record polling when he does face one, as he'll actually offer a choice to the electorate.

Do we, as extremely well informed conservatives think he's all that much different than the average milktoast liberal? No. Then again, many of the (R)s we vote for over and over again are to the left of the average milktoast liberal..

At the end of the day, Democrats moved into the far left insane column while the Republicans moved to the left - Trump didn't evolve into a conservative, conservatives evolved so much that Trump is now more conservative than most of the Republican leadership.

Oh, and there's the other little thing: When citizen initiatives are repeatedly declared unconstitutional, then constitutional amendments are declared unconstitutional, you do a great job of ensuring the electorate stays home, even if they weren't going to vote for the uniparty - what's the point? Anything useful will get struck down by the courts and won't be defended by the elected representatives.

I'm pretty sure at this point you could launch a recall election against just about anyone in office in California and succeed in the petition. Shame there's so few conservatives to actually challenge the uniparty.

Like I have posted before, anyone who thinks the 2016 election will be fair or a win for us, just hasn’t been paying attention. They will get all the votes they need with new voter laws and their NWO invasion of new democrats.

Right out of It's a Wonderful Life, today's California is essentially run how Potter would think the state should be run if he owned it.

There would be only one voice. The media also owned by Potter would print or broadcast only news, articiles, and commentaries that supported his views.

This is the example they used to teach us in civics never to adopt.

I agree. Plus the early voting period where the Democrats have swarms of people with different i.d.s or no i.d.s going from precinct to precient voting all day .
