That is true, as far as it goes, but it misses the point. Throughout that summer, there were events that might have exposed the plans, had the government been on high alert. Indeed, even as the Aug. 6 brief was being prepared, Mohamed al-Kahtani, a Saudi believed to have been assigned a role in the 9/11 attacks, was stopped at an airport in Orlando, Fla., by a suspicious customs agent and sent back overseas on Aug. 4. Two weeks later, another co-conspirator, Zacarias Moussaoui, was arrested on immigration charges in Minnesota after arousing suspicions at a flight school. But the dots were not connected, and Washington did not react.
According to the article quoted above, the warnings actually had started coming as early as May 1st, so Bush had time to react.

If memory serves, honorable mention for culpability goes to Jamie Gorelick, but she was shielded from criticism in a way similar to the way Lois Lerner also escaped accountability. You may remember the often mentioned ‘Gorelick Wall’; a euphemism for prohibiting certain agencies from communicating, regardless of important that knowledge was, which you have already mentioned.
Supposedly this was fixed with the creation of DHS, but I don’t know.
Candidates need to stop saying stupid crap and responding to stupid questions. What does this have to do with the race at all?
It’s the Jamie Gorelick and Kristin Bretweiser and company’s smear campaign all over again - which were denounced as outrageous at the time - now they are wonderful since Trump is now parroting them. Same way with making positive comments about Planned Parenthood - terrible thing to say before, wonderful after Trump says it. Kelo v. Connecticut? Terrible ruling before, awesome ruling now since Trump likes it. Universal Healthcare? Terrible idea before, wonderful idea now. Attacking conservatives for not wanting the government to “take care of everybody”? Terrible before, wonderful now. Could go on and on. Ultra liberalism and intellectual dishonesty is fine if advocated by Trump - and if you say otherwise, you are an agent of the establishment.
Exactly, I believe Clinton and Bush are both responsible for what happen. Clinton for treating the first attack with kid gloves and Bush who did nothing about Immigration (folks overstaying their visas, etc.) So in a way, Trump is right whether many Freepers or Conservatives refuse to see it simply because Bush is not that vile as Clinton.
Every Trump slip-up (intentional or not) is pointed out and he is attacked. . .and every time he is attacked he only gets stronger.

Yes, indeed - the talking points are back with new life in Trump. Kristin Breitweiser, Jamie Gorelick, Cindy Sheehan - I guess they will be on his VP shortlist in order to have someone in tune with his own views on the issues.
Even the NPS film at Pearl Harbor (at least in 2006) makes it pretty clear that FDR knew.
This is like knowing the Japs were going to hit us in 41. We knew it would come and why weren’t Muslims being screened at every level? Because the Saudis and Bush’s are great friends.
