Hillary Clinton Says Trump's Attacks Against Bill Clinton's Past 'Won’t Work'

Hillary Clinton warned Sunday that Donald Trump's latest attacks about the controversies of her husband's past are a "dead end" that "won’t work."

"They can say whatever they want, more power to them. I think it's a dead end, but let 'em go," when asked whether it is fair game for candidates to go after Bill Clinton's infidelities.

"They can do it again if they want to. That can be their choice as to how to run in this campaign. Didn't work before. It won't work again," she added. "I'm going to talk about the differences between us because I think that's what Americans care about." Earlier this week, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump released an ad featuring former President Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.

Clinton, who has said it's her "New Year's resolution" not to engage with Trump, attempted to brush off the ad on Sunday.

"Well, it he wants to engage in personal attacks from the past, that's his prerogative. You know, so be it," she said. "He can say whatever he wants to about me, but I am not going to let him, or any of the other Republicans rip away the progress have made. ... I'm going to stand up and make it clear there is a huge difference between us."

The interview on Sunday came the same morning a new NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll was released showing Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders virtually neck-in-neck in Iowa.

Clinton, however, didn't seem fazed.

"These polls go up, they go down," she said. "I stay pretty focused, as I think we all should, on what we have to do to build on the progress of the Obama administration, but go even further."

Later today, Clinton will receive the official endorsement from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund.

HERE IS THE SUB-TEXT TO MS. CLINTON'S COMMENTS IN CAPS.

Hillary Clinton warned Sunday that Donald Trump's latest attacks about the controversies of her husband's past are a "dead end" that "won’t work."

"THAT'S BECAUSE THE WHOLE PLANET KNOWS ABOUT THEM. THERE'S NO ONE ELSE LEFT TO CONVINCE."

"They can say whatever they want, more power to them. I think it's a dead end, blind ally for them, but let 'em go," the Democratic presidential candidate said during an interview on CBS News' "Face the Nation," when asked whether it is fair game for candidates to go after Bill Clinton's infidelities.

"I KNOW IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT I SAY ABOUT THIS, SO WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY?"

"It's been fair game going back to the Republicans for some years," Clinton said.

"They can do it again if they want to. That can be their choice as to how to run in this campaign. Didn't work before. It won't work again," she added. "I'm going to talk about the differences between us because I think that's what Americans care about."

"ACTUALLY, I KNOW THEY DIDN'T BRING IT UP BEFORE, BUT I THOUGHT I'D SAY THAT ANY WAY."

Earlier this week, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump released an ad featuring former President Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.

Clinton, who has said it's her "New Year's resolution" not to engage with Trump, attempted to brush off the ad on Sunday.

"TRUTH IS, BILL TOLD ME THAT IF I GO AFTER TRUMP, THAT RESULTS IN HIM UNLEASHING ANOTHER 100 GAL OF @SS WHIPPING ON HIM, THEN HE'S GOING TO UNLEASH A 100 GAL @SS WHIPPING OF ME."

"HEE, HEE. THOUGHT THAT ONE UP MYSELF."

The interview on Sunday came the same morning a new NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll was released showing Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders virtually neck-in-neck in Iowa.

Clinton, however, didn't seem fazed.

"WELL, I'LL LET OLE' BERNIE HAVE HIS FUN. IF HE WINS IOWA AND NH THEN MY LAWYERS ARE GOING TO GO AFTER HIS CAMPAIGN AS BEING ILLEGAL SINCE HE REALLY NOT A DEMOCRAT, AND THEREFORE, CAN'T RUN AS ONE. HEE, HEE. THOUGHT THAT ONE UP MYSELF TOO."

"These polls go up, they go down," she said. "I stay pretty focused, as I think we all should, on what we have to do to build on the progress of the Obama administration, but go even further."

"CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK TO THE HOTEL AND DOWN A COUPLE SCOTCHES, AS I FEEL LIKE THROWING UP EACH TIME I HAVE TO GIVE CREDIT TO THAT LONG EARED GALOOT IN THE WH."

Later today, Clinton will receive the official endorsement from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund at a campaign event in New Hampshire –- a state where she is also in a heated race with her Democratic challenger.

"EAT YOUR HEART OUT. I'M FOR ABORTION ANYTIME, ANYPLACE, EVEN TWO MINUTES BEFORE DELIVERY AND I'M PROUD OF IT. NOW WHERE THE HELL IS THE LADY'S ROOM IN THIS GOD FORSAKEN TWO BIT TV STATION?"

Notice no one asked “Did your husband rape anyone?”

The MSM Questions are always of the form “[Someone] accused you of [something]... How does that make you feeeeeeeel?

Never “Is it true?”

So she is admitting that Bill has a past broiled in rape and abuse of women?
Interesting.

That’s why she avoids the conservative interviewers. Do you think she’d let Hannity or even Greta interviewer? Greta might even be fair. Kelly Meygn I think would throw up softballs like the interview listed here. Anything to get Hillary to trash Trump.

Exactly right. They ask “is [it] fair game for candidates to go after Bill Clinton’s infidelities?”

They need to ask about HER enabling his violent rapes of women, his use of government employees to procure victims, her statements that “every woman has the right to be heard” while her role was to shut them up, and her laughing about getting the guy off on the charge of raping a twelve year old girl when she was a practicing lawyer. Her past is so sordid and few people today know about it.

The Donald must be over a very vulnerable and high-value target, then. Not Slick’s infidelities, but the participation by Herself in covering them up and minimizing them.

The sound of flak is deafening. But perhaps not especially effective.

"Hillary Clinton warned Sunday that Donald Trump's latest attacks about the controversies of her husband's past are a "dead end" that "won't work." "

It doesn't mean anymore to her now than it did when it began.

Bill Clinton is a serial abuser. Hillary is a serial liar and enabler for political gain. There is a whole new generation of voters that were too young or not born yet who need to know that she is just not a “Grandmother who wants to save the country” (GAG!)

The culture on looking the other way on sexual harassment and abuse/rape has changed. The headline calls the truth
“attacks”; nope, Donald should just keep telling the truth -
it will remind older voters and enlighten younger ones!

If she has trimmed back the “war on women” bs even a little bit then Trump’s comments and ad have done good.

There. I fixed it.

Hillary Clinton’s “cattle futures issue” to the new generation is a vegan program she started to give cattle a brighter future. Perhaps free college as well.

Part of the problem is Trump's own words have not been consistent on this subject. Trump didn't care a whit about this subject when he was an ally of the Clintons (funding them, praising them, supporting Bill with apologias). For example, see this link. The Clinton's can show how sincere Trump is and was by showing pictures of them and the other elites at Trump's third wedding. He had to have them there. Did Trump not know Clinton was a perv then?

We're letting her get us off track. Bill isn't running, Hillary is.

What we should be talking about is how she covered for him and smeared his accusers.

If I were Trump I would use this in a way that only he could do.

Something like...”No thanks Hillary, we’ve already heard you had ‘one’ and NO we don’t want to see it.”
