It was a wonderful speech and hit all the topics I care about.
Ted Cruz is an excellent speaker and very likable.

Well, Mz. Wog, we conservatives have voted for decades for "true" conservatives to represent us in the halls of government from DC on down to the local levels. How did this work out for us? How did this work out for you? I know it hasn't worked out for me.
It may freak you out, but millions of us are now PRAGMATIC TRUE CONSERVATIVES and WE'RE gonna control our own destinies... not the National Review Gang of Twenty-Two, not Trent Lott and Bob Dole, not Mark Levin or Glenn Beck, not Megyn Kelly and Stephen Hayes, not the RNC-e and Prince Rebus...and certainly NOT perpetually-losing, rigid, purist conservatives making the same mistakes over and over again and expecting different results.....and trying to cajole/name-call us into remaining in their Losers' Club so that we are saved and can become "pure" again.

Excellent speech. He touched on the things I care about.
He didn’t bash Trump but did gently point out that Trump does not share these values ... not if one can go by his record.
He’s quite the charming guy and such a contrast to the other guy.
