Milford, New Hampshire (CNN)Donald Trump on Tuesday said his decision to skip the last Republican debate before the Iowa caucuses may have led to his second-place finish in the Hawkeye State.

"That could've been with the debate," Trump acknowledged to reporters in Milford, New Hampshire, where he was introduced and endorsed by former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown. "I think some people were disappointed that I didn't go into the debate."

Trump is far from done He still leads in NH by 25 points +/- Sure a 5 point lead might be able to overcome in Iowa, but NH is a different bird

True. Iowa is way more conservative and pro-American. NH is loaded with Libs and Lefties.

That’s right, and the detention/kidnapping of thousands of Trump voters by members of Team Cruz contributed heavily to The Donald’s loss!

A brain is such a terrible thing to waste...

I don’t think you need a SIGINT analyst to watch CNN and send out a Tweet. A high school student with a C- average would suffice.

Nonsense, McCain didn’t attack Obama, how did that ever work? These are contests, attacks in primaries make candidates better for the general.

You think the Clintons won’t be attacking our nominee?

I don’t think it cost him the lead in Iowa at all. What he did with his fundraiser was far more productive than stepping into a GOPe ambush pissing match. Ask Cruz about that. Without Trump there, he bore the brunt of megyn’s claw sharpening screed.

Besides, Trump raised six million bucks that gets distributed directly to organizations that help our veterans.

I lost because of Ted's dirty tricks. I lost because I skipped the debate. I lost because ... I'm a loser

Can you imagine playing any type of board game with this man? (Trump). If not winning he would swipe all the pieces on the floor...
As a kid he would probably take his ball and run home if his team was losing a football or baseball game.

That is exactly what we need right now. We are playing with petulant children right now in DC and this is the only thing they will understand.

Civilized behavior will have to come later.

Conventional wisdom is that Cruz can win nothing again except for TX, and that is not certain, especially if Rubio surges in NH.

I think having debates in the first place is stupid. It just makes the entire party as a whole look ridiculous and just gives the leftist media more fodder with which to bash Republicans and Conservatives in general.

Besides, Trump raised six million bucks that gets distributed directly to organizations that help our veterans.

No overhead deducted out of the $6 million the payout is equivalent to $12 million and the usual 50% stolen for overhead of fund raising, commercials, salaries, offices.

Iowa is so “pro American” and “conservative” that they voted for OBAMA Twice

You may want to research Iowa a little more before you spout out things like that

Also research “agrarian socialism” a movement that started in Iowa

Perhaps, but for me, I’ve always said I would happily vote for Trump or Cruz. Berny and Hillary are not options

I agree, which is why the increasing mutual hatred between Cruz and Trump supporters here bothers me. Legitimate criticism of one or the other is fine, but let's not lose sight of the fact that the GOP establishment and the Democrats, not Cruz or Trump, are the enemies here.

I'll also add that while Bernie and Hillary obviously aren't options, as far as I'm concerned, Marco, Jeb, and Chris aren't options either.

No dissing.

It is amazing how politicians spend OPM trying to win, to spend more OPM after they win.

Who are you quoting? I didn't say that. Not that I disagree with it, but still.

It was Trump dissing Bob Vander Plaats that angered those conservatives who ended up voting for Cruz.

Plaats is the most respected religious leader in Iowa. Trump missing the debate was not as big a factor as his vengeful spewing.

If he would treat some Americans that way, how in God's name is he going to treat other nations when they don't cotton to his charm?

Never, ever trust a person who lives by flattery.
