I applied for a job at an ITT spinoff while working there as a contractor. The application wanted to know if I was black. I asked the HR lady (room temperature IQ) if that mattered. She said that every morning the first thing she checked was whether any minorities had applied so she could make the contact and schedule an interview. If somebody didn’t check the box she assumed they were white. (By assume they were white I interpreted she didn’t consider them as a candidate. Though having sat through meetings on the subject she was frequently told they needed to fill the position now, regardless. You can interpret that as you would like.)

In big companies the top level bonus is tied to minority hiring which is tied to contractual requirements and thus to award fee. It has to be a very special job with very special skills where the hiring manager makes the decision on his own.

We could see this coming as his hate for whites is obvious. He was given an AA appointment to an Ivy league school just like his wife or whatever. These days white men have to score much higher on SAT’s as AA is pushing blacks plus Hispanics come next. Caucasian males come last in college and the military after minorities and women.
