Socialist Sweep New Hampshire [SANDERS AND TRUMP]
American Thinker ^ | February 10, 2016 | C. Edmund Wright

Posted on 02/10/2016 2:33:49 AM PST by expat_panama

Shortly after Barack Obama swept into the White House while giving Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid a coattail Marxist Congress, Newsweek Magazine ran the cover "We're all Socialists now,"...

...it took until last night before it was literally true, as New Hampshire gave a full-throated socialist a rout over semi-socialist Hillary Clinton on the Democrat side and the once and now apparently again socialist Donald Trump won...

...In case you missed the final score, it was Bernie by about 18 over Hillary and Trump by about 18 over John Kasich. Yes, John Kasich. ...

...Trump has flirted with socialist talking points and ideas for decades, including...

..."Trump has promised to allow the government to negotiate drug prices — a common position among Democrats but rarely heard at nominally Republican events. He said he would not raise military spending, arguing that the nation's defenses can be improved without increasing its already huge Pentagon budget. He promised tough sanctions on American companies that move jobs overseas."

Think about that. He's full Bernie on the military, and instead of rolling back our liberal government to entice companies to stay onshore or move onshore, Trump wants to sic the IRS on companies...

..."Trump was, in other words, in full populist mode as he wrapped up his New Hampshire campaign." York understates. He was in full Bernie Socialist mode. Meanwhile, daughter Ivanka Trump yesterday insisted that "from day one, my father has set the agenda for both parties."

Indeed he has. It sounds a lot like Bernie's socialist agenda. And he and Bernie both won. Beam me up, Scotty...

contrary to the Constitution, in favor of crony capitalism?

Mostly those are two different things. Trump will support some crony capitalism and we can't count on politicians to save us. But Trump might also do some surveillance or something like that. Although I would say he is much more inclined to keep potential terrorists out (e.g. Muslims) than increase surveillance. But that aside, let's say Trump decides that surveillance is cool and we should do more. That would require approval and oversight by congress. We should have a left-right coalition against that. The second most popular candidate in the race is an anti-surveillance leftist. The American people need to avail themselves of their political power to stop things like that, we can't expect any president to control the bloated apparatus of federal government.

Can you tell whether Trump runs his business empire like a Socialist or a Capitalist? Does he create wealth or destroy wealth? Are his business practices sound? How many jobs has Trump created vs. Sanders or any career politician? Do Trumps projects come in under budget and ahead of schedule?
__________________________________________________________

Trump runs his company like a crony capitalist. He pays politicians and get favors in return he uses other peoples money to finance his projects and walks away when a projects and leaves other people holding the bag and taking thelosses when he fails.

HE has failed on everything he has touched that didn’t conform to this model. He had a food company that failed (Trump Steaks), a liquor company that failed (Trump Vodka) Three Magazines and of course he was a USFL owner and pursued a strategy that led to the collapse of an entire league, they were making money playing as a spring/summer league Trump couldn’t get an NFL franchise, got a USFO franchise, he persuaded other owners to go head to head with the NFL and try beating them in court the league collapsed when they won $2 in court.

Trump isn’t a capitalist in and real sense, he has succeeded off gov subsidies and the bankruptcy laws.

No idea who produced it. So what if there’s a Barnum mention. Are you afraid to watch it just because of that?

Ditto. I frequently search on his user name and at the very least improve my vocabulary.

A true thinker.

I’m not confused at all, but thanks for your concern.

“My boy” is gonna be the next POTUS. Deal with it.

Sorry my bad perhaps willfully ignorant is a better term. The odds you boy wins are very not the nomination but in a general election he will be crushed Sanders has a much better chance of being elected Deal with it.

The ONLY thing that will make America great again is restricting government to its constitutional limits letting people be free of it and be productive again.

Fair point. But Trump will lower regulation and corporate taxes. He has the constitution and principles to do that much. In some areas Trump is not going to expand government and may start to role it back. He is not going to mandate equality and governemnt programs for equality. He is not going to allow immigrants, legal or not, to come here and be on the dole. On other aspects of big government such as mandates in highway bills, etc. we simply don't know. We will have to roll the dice and see what happens.

He wants to use the wall to keep folks out...which is great. But he also wants to use the IRS to fence people in. That’s evil. That’s statist. That’s Marxist.

Cognitive dissonance. How is America "great again" with diminished Constitutional rights?

I don't think it is cognitive dissonance. Just keeping more of our hard-earned money is a great step forward albeit supported by other candidates especially Cruz. But also American greatness in his mind is mainly economic greatness. America will become more competitive and lead the world in all tech areas again.

I know he wants to end the Carried Interest loophole used by Hedge Fund Managers. Not sure regarding how he plans to use the IRS to fence people in.

There is every reason to believe that if Donald Trump becomes the chief executive officer of America he will run the country the way he ran Taj Mahal.

To a great extent he is not going to run the country. He is going to lower taxes and that will allow business to grow and run their own businesses.

Oh, sure, it’s that he wants “border security”. It has nothing to do with his record of support for SOCIALIZED MEDICINE, or NATIONALIZING INDUSTRIES. Sure.

Dave maybe we’re missing the genius here. Once we’re socialist, no one will want to come.....the wall won’t even have to be very high.....BRILLIANT

....unless he doesn’t, which happens all the time. Bankruptcies don’t normally happen when projects are properly envisioned and managed.

yes, it’s a stretch....that’s the point of the article....to use rhetoric to expose over the top rhetoric.

Oh, by the way, did you read what he DID SAY? Those are straight from the Marxist doctrine.
