Possible Conflict at Heart of Clinton Foundation
NY Times ^ | May 22, 2016 | ALBERT R. HUNT

The Clinton Foundation, which has done a number of good works over the past 15 years, would appear to present an inherent conflict of interest should Mrs. Clinton become president, and possibly does even now with her as a candidate.

Mrs. Clinton has suggested that if she is elected, the foundation — which collects contributions from wealthy interests, including foreign governments — would continue basically as is.

“If Bill seeks to raise large sums of money from donors who also have an interest in U.S. policy, the public will rightly question whether the grants affected United States foreign policy,” said Stephen Gillers, a legal ethics expert at New York University School of Law. Ethics rules, he notes, are “not merely to prevent bad behavior but to foster public trust in the integrity of government choices.” He’s open, however, to the idea of their daughter, Chelsea Clinton, running the foundation.

They will get away with it. A Republican in the same situation would be demanded to stop his/her campaign immediately.

Some enterprising journalist discovered that some money spent by the Clinton Foundation actually did something good for the US.

This is an obvious conflict with the Clintons' activities to date.

At Heart of Clinton Foundation

Would they not have to have a heart for the above to be true?

WHAT ABOUT if Hillary raised large sums of money from donors who also have an interest in U.S. policy WHILE SHE WAS US SECRETARY OF STATE?

Tell us about THAT, Mr. Gillers,

No problem here.
Let the kid run it.
Her and here hedge fund husband.

No problem.

People get upset over nothing.

The Foundation has done much good work over the years. I know because the New York Slimes says it is so.

They mention lawyer ethics.

Aren’t both of them disbarred?

Used to be if one got thrown out of their life career, it was time to be embarrassed and to quietly slither off.

Most small companies have better ethnic policies than the Federal Government.

If you are caught stealing from a company chances are you will have a problem continuing your ‘career’ in that town or jurisdiction.

Get disbarred from a Federal Judgeship and become a Congressman.

Become a Senator and your husband can make millions working for the Government...

Quite a system we have conjured up here - Yet it remains close to being the best place in the world BUT dumb voters and crooked pols are continuing to tear us down.

The DEMS came up with the ‘donation limitation’ to cripple the Republicans. The Clintons (and Dems) get around the donation laws by creating these tax-free foundations to launder money from foreigners and use it to get re-elected/elected to an office.

Yeah, the Clintons spent about 10% or less on putting on a false front.

Can Hitlery point to any country that she or The Rapist took money from that she didn't do some sort of favor for?

Can she point to any country that she did something for that didn't make a contribution to her "charity"?

Ethics have never bothered Hillary Clinton in the past, why should it bother her now?

DUHHHH, NY Slimes, she’s already had the ethical conflict of interest for 4 yrs as Secretary of State, dealing with policies affecting Clinton “donors” all over the world.... massive ethical fail.

Two quotes from the article:Laugh of the day. With the DOJ packed full of his cronies, what else can we expect? And...Now we're talking. With emphasis on the words "sever," "completely" and "independent."

Wonder if the grifters can afford the cut in pay?

The Clinton Foundation’s very existence is a conflict of interest.

Why did the New York Times not mention that only 10% of the donations to the Clinton Foundation go to charitable work?

See link below. The 10% figure is from the tax returns for the Clinton Foundation.
