Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump is leading presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by 11 points with Independents, 38 percent to 27 percent, according to a new Morning Consult poll. But he’s still down by two points in a head-to-head match up, 41 percent to 39 percent.

TRUMP will win by a landslide.
I don’t think it’s that close. But if these polls prevent complacency from setting in and makes the Trump campaign work harder, that’s not a bad thing.
That’s good news. But Hillary still holds a 125% lead over Trump with the dead, her most reliable voting block.
Seems like in previous elections, whoever lead the independents lead the poll.
Hillary is trying so desperately to motivate the black vote. She will need their turn out to win.
Blacks don’t really want Hillary. If they vote for her, it will only be a vote against something whitey wants. They don’t want whitey to win or have anything.
The only reason Trump is not leading overall is because of nevetrumper holdouts. Hopefully Pence will help with that. If Cruz doesn’t endorse he should be branded as a traitor and deported back to Calgary.

As of yesterday, the never Trump folks were defeated at long last. I had seen as much as possible the ongoing struggle.
LIke it or not, the dead vote is starting to fail at last. Thanks to organizations such as “True The Vote” issuses of possible voter fraud are being addressed.
He’s ahead in independents by 4 to 3 but he’s down 2 overall??? bull crap.
Trump will take independents on Election Day somewhere in the 3 to 2 to 5 to 3 range. This thing isn’t close now and it will and it’s going to be an embarrassing loss for Hillary in Nov. Darn close to 1980 levels.
Supposedly Romney lost because of conservative hold outs, Bill Clinton won because conservatives voted Ross Perot. Never underestimate the ability for a conservative to cut off his nose to spite his face. Maybe we are as dumb as democrats say we are.
I hope you are right. But I still remember a case of 100% turnout and all voting for the Dem somewhere in Philadelphia. How are we doing with that sort of thing?
Curious how Clinton is going to attempt to reverse it? A point is going to come when she realize she's toast. And, unlike normal politicians who would bow out gracefully to fight another day, I don't see her doing it.

Romney got over 90% of the republican vote. That’s a fact.
Trump is polling around 80% among republicans. If he was polling around 90% he would be far ahead of Hillary overall.
I believe Republicans will inevitably consolidate between now and election day. Historically Republicans are always more united than democrats in presidential elections.
That’s why most of the current polls are deceptive. They assume that 20% of Republicans will vote for Hillary. But these 20% are just nevertrumpers having a hissy fit. I doubt they will vote that way.
