A 25-year-old man was arrested in Frankford Sunday morning for allegedly striking a transgender woman near City Hall on Friday and calling her homophobic and transphobic slurs, according to police.
Authorities did not identify the man, but said he was taken into custody at 7:42 a.m. in the Frankford Transportation Center, on the 5200 block of Franford Avenue. Police said he was homeless and wearing the same clothing he had been wearing at the time of the incident.

Trump, personally, used his charm offensive even on the gay crowd. I don’t think he wants them to be enemies. I’m sure he does not want “radical gayism” to take over America either, but America lived with “gays” in a kind of wink-wink detente for decades before our dear (irony?) lefties wickedly coaxed their vision to the modern socially destructive point.

This is what I would expect too. Donald has promised to try to square the social circle, so to speak. And almost all of his supporters are willing to give him room to try to do it. It’s like what do they have to lose, compared with the chaos that Barack Obama gave us.
"Hate crime" charges? Not guilty on every such charge because I reject the basic concept of the "hate crime".
OK, so when they say “transgender woman” do they mean a man in denial of his sex who apes women who are not in denial of their sex ...or do they mean a woman who is in denial of her sex who apes men who are not in denial of their sex?
I can never be sure when journalists are using standard English or newspeak.
Someone here on FR came up with a definition that has helped me immensely with this ... as I had the same problem as you.
Every time you see the words "transgender", "transgendered", or "trans-" followed by either man or woman, insert the word "fake" before "man" or "woman". That clears it right up ...
Well I saw the video and the Trans looks like a man but acts like a woman.Nobody should be hit just for walking down the street.First time we watched Channel 3 and 8 minutes in it was only Woman’s March and Trans news so we changed the channel.
So is a transgender women really a women or a man that thinks he is a women or just what they hell is it?
Not guilty on every such charge because I reject the basic concept of the “hate crime”....The court tried to jail me because I hung the jury on a ‘hate’ charge about 13 years ago. I stuck by my guns and beliefs and an exasperated Federal court threatened and finally backed down. They got another jury and convicted.
Although I'm certainly not a lawyer I've done some research on the general subject of "jury nullification".What I learned was that a number of prominent jurists,including some of our Founders,have made it clear that juries have the absolute power to 1) judge the evidence presented to it 2) judge the appropriateness of the charges brought against the defendant (that is,was he/she "overcharged" for example) *and* 3) judge the appropriateness of the law under which the defendant was charged.
"Appropriateness" is my word...I'm sure there's a legal word/phrase that could be substitued.
He can beat this rap by claiming he is a woman and suing the arresting officers for transphobic discrimination
