Rand Paul Fires Back at McCain: ‘He’s Unhinged, Makes a Strong Case For Term Limits’

Senator John McCain went on a long winded rant from the Senate floor, accusing Rand Paul of working for Vladimir Putin simply because he objected to Montenegro’s bid to be a part of NATO.

Rand Paul responded by saying McCain is unhinged, past his prime and makes a strong case for term limits. Ouch!

MSNBC: “What’s your reaction to Senator McCain’s characterization of your objection?”

Rand Paul: “Well you know I think he makes a really really strong case, you know for term limits. Umm I think maybe he’s uh past his prime. I think maybe he’s gotten a little bit unhinged.

I do think that when we talk about NATO there can be a rational discussion about the pros and cons of expanding it.”

Rand Paul is correct. There needs to be a rational discussion about NATO without corrupt, unhinged career politicians tying everything to Russian conspiracies. Why does everything all of a sudden have to be about Russia?

Whenever McCain speaks, he reminds me of the Bogart character, Captain Queeg.

McCain is a fake republican and a true democrat, that’s why he is unhinged.

He surrounds himself with Democrats yet calls himself Republican. He talks like them, acts like them, and is nutty as a fruit bat.

There once was a time when Senators would actually fight and some take up arms against the other in duels IIRC.

McCain’s slander of Paul was inexcusable IMO. He’s not unhinged though; he is completely derailed.

On the one hand, I think they’re both bats. On the other hand, I think it’s positive for our Senators openly to hate one another, as in the days of Hamilton and Burr.

It is because he is beholden to them for they hold the key to opening the wound of The Keating Five. I believe in my heart, the deal is they keep him breathing in the open primary system of Arizona so they can keep him doing their bidding in the sheep’s wool coat. They are relentless to defend his “hero” status as their only defense mechanism.

I am so pleased that Rand Paul is starting to take on this canard status in his tact that all glory is fleeting. McCain’s has left a long time ago solely because of his corruptible arrogance and payup time is very soon at hand. The only thing McCain can do now is stay on offense but he no longer has an offensive line to protect him.

Let the sacking begin!

I was a friend of a man who had been a POW in Korea for 1,000 days. He was sane plus did a tour in Laos and had two in RVN. He was the CO of an SF Company in 69-70 before the Son Tay Raid. He’d ask me to get some beer and crickets to go fishing after a night at the Smoke bomb Hill O club drinking martinis. He’d tell me about his captors and their psychological games while we supposedly were checking on the troops training there. He’d tell SGM Ferguson we were checking on the troops if anyone asked. Charlie knew what we did as he knew all. He was a legend. He knew the Major had been a POW. Still he’d been on the ground in Laos with a BN of Indig with FOB2 in 66 or so. He had his issues. McCain is not even close to this man. McLame never saw what this man did. McCain had always been a spoiled brat as his old man was an Admiral. That capture knocked him for a loop. I don’t trust McLame period.

Even a blind squirrel (Rand Paul) finds a nut (John McCain) once in a while.

He was unhinged by his camp experience. He should never have been given a position of leadership and responsibility after his return from brainwashing.

In Paul Boller’s book “Congressional Anecdotes”, pages 209-210 he describes a heated argument between Senator Thomas P. Gore, Gore Vidal’s Grandfather who was totally blind, and another Senator. The other Senator was so enraged he muttered under his breath: “If you weren’t blind I’d thrash you within an inch of your life!” Senator Gore, upon hearing this, leaped up and assumed a fighting stance while he yelled: “Blindfold the SOB and point him in my direction!”

Hopefully, McCain is now in the midst of his Last Stand. In a related post I commented on McCain's similarities to General Custer.
