A Houston man is on the hook for $65,000 in child support for a child that's not his.
Gabriel Cornejo, 45, took a DNA test proving a child his ex-girlfriend had 16 years ago was not his.
The test was too late. In 2003, a child support court in Houston ruled that Cornejo owed his ex-girlfriend child support because, she claims, there was no way he wasn't the father.

There really needs to be a male driven movement to change these repressive anti-male laws.
“She gave the milk away. And he didnt father the child. Someone else fathered the child and is getting off scott-free.”
Yes.
But if you read about the case, both he and she did think he was the father.
He did not contest paternity until more than a decade later and accepted the child support agreement until then.
He is being held to his agreement.
If he had contested paternity earlier he would have been free of child support then.
Should have happened before the 19th amendment was ratified ...
No, not at all, I believe that myself. You seem to believe that men are the only ones that want sex, women are innocent victims, etc., but that’s not reality. If that is your reality then good for you. But don’t judge all men based on that.
Wow, that described my childhood exactly :(
I have given her many chances to apologize to both my father (who passed in 2010) and me. She just goes into the guilt trip session, every time. Last time she did that, I hung up on her.
When I was having money issues in Uni (I had full time courses, a full time job AND a part time job), my step-mother angriliy asked me what I did with the college fund my father had left for me ($60,000)... I had NO idea what she was talking about. I asked my father about it and he told me that he had the college fund set up since I was about 8yo, or so.
I asked my ‘mother’ what happened to it.. she told me that she didn’t think I was going to college, so she used all of it. (THIS is why I asked her to apologize to my father... the constant physical and mental abuse is why I was asking for her apology to me, which she always denied.. (that included my nose broken twice by her before I was even 11yo).
Anyway.. getting frustrated even thinking about it now :/
(haven’t seen her for 20 years, and not missing a moment of it at all.
“No, not at all, I believe that myself.”
We are in agreement.
Not really, you are judgmental and base guilt/innocence on the gender of the person.
“Not really, you are judgmental and base guilt/innocence on the gender of the person.”
Nothing I wrote reflects this.
Rofl
“Not really, you are judgmental and base guilt/innocence on the gender of the person.”
You said that.
Yet there is no basis for this assertion in anything I wrote.
you are a friggin idiot....
I hope this happens to you.
Actually I was referring to the ex, lawyers and judges involved...no one should ever harm a child, but i see your point.
They are just starting now to do so after the cries of non custodial dads pointing out the blatant hypocrisy and so called “equal rights” movement. Women usually have SPECIAL rights in the western world.
Evidently you're and old fashioned polygamist. It would seem that the baby's FATHER would be her husband too.
Are you now going to tell us that men who have money, or something to lose, are not running around shooting their sperm all over the place?
The idea that a man will be forced to provide financial support for someone else's child for 18 years is the very definition of victimhood.
I would agree with you if this was 40 years ago, but not now. Men (with few exceptions) either pass and enforce the laws that cause this, or do nothing to challenge it until it's their turn. Nobody is forcing this on men. Men are forcing it on each other.
I suppose the billions a year American men spend on prostitution is from men "who are far too broke" to make child support payments. If men spent 1/10 of 1% of the money they spend on prostitution, which would amount to tens of millions, in support of MRAs, it would go a long way in helping them fight these injustices. That they don't shows their priorities.
Fine. Silence is consent, and by refusing to stand up against this over the past 40 years men have consented to it, and therefore by definition are not victims.
There’s more to this story than you are telling.
Courts will not deny a father access to his children unless there is a monster aggravating circumstance. And even then, visits would be supervised.
You’re a liberal.
“I hope this happens to you.”
Why do you identify with a guy who has sex with a woman and claims he doesn’t even know she was pregnant or had a child?
You think this animal like sex without love or marriage is just fine?
“I hope this happens to you.”
Why?
And it wouldn’t and hasn’t and didn’t.
If I were having sex with a woman I would know enough about her and care enough to know if she was pregnant.
It’s called love. It’s called respect and responsibility. Look in to it.
