he American Humanist Association, an organization that advocates for secularism and represented several non-Christian residents of Prince George's County.

In other words, a single family of atheists brought down this symbol of Christianity and the reverence of our fallen military heroes that has been standing for all these years.................

The courts have decreed that materialism is our official state religion.

Surround the monument with human shields and let the jackbooted thugs wade in.

Very bad optics for the omnipotent State.

Sell the little piece of land to a nonprofit and you’re home free and the perpetually aggrieved can just stuff it.

Sell it or donate it to a Vet group or church.......end of problem......

What a waste of time. Yes, it will be submitted to the Supremes and that will end it. But consider all the taxpayer money and court time that will have been wasted.

"violates the separation between church and state."

One of the most misunderstood and misapplied contexts of the Constitution. The a-holes in black robes rule by emotion, direction of the wind, whims and political ideology. Most think the American Constitution is un-Constitutional.

Not sure how they are going to justify and go about removing this. The Peace Cross is on the National Register of Historical Places.

The National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) is the United States federal government's official list of districts, sites, buildings, structures, and objects deemed worthy of preservation.

One would think it will not be up to one judge to make this decision.

92 years—That monument has a legitimate “adverse possession” claim at this point. :-)

The nation will pay for such a$$inine judgments as this. The Founders were men of faith and I really believe that is why the U.S. has enjoyed G-d’s protection.

If they want it removed, let the members of the court pay for it and do it themselves.

Wonder what group filed the lawsuit...

“Confederate flag - erased
Civil war monuments - erased
Confederate General statues - erased
Christopher Columbus - erased
Veteran Memorial cross - erased”

And you can be absolutely sure that Trump will be blamed for this because he’s a white supremacist, therefore he created the hate.

A federal appeals court has ruled that a 40-foot cross-shaped Maryland monument honoring soldiers who died in World War I is unconstitutional, saying it violates the separation between church and state.

Yes, because an inanimate object is Congress establishing a religion.

Do these “judges” also not know arithmetic?

The misconception of the Separation of Church and State by the courts goes back a long way and has been wrong.

There is nothing about that Cross that promotes a State Religion.

But the satanic statute is?...

And lest we forget, the 45ft tall nekkid woman statue going up on the DC mall by the Washington Monument. Priorities, priorities !

It’s 92 years old but it just suddenly violates the Constitution now? Color me skeptical.

All of this is precisely like the Chinese Communist “Cultural Revolution” in the 1960s. They destroyed many things they would like to have back. Commies and tyrants, tyrants and commies. Such universal stupidity.

The cross is only objectionable if it was paid for with government money.

While your point is clear, congress could get the attention of the judiciary if it collected a few judicial scalps each year through impeachment and removal. That clown judge in Hawaii who usurps the power of President Trump over immigration comes to mind.

Of course, that will never happen until repeal of the 17th Amendment.
