I just voted in SW Virginia. Rural area, goes usually about 58-42 for the good guys (or at least the less-evil guys). More cars than usual for off year elections but no real wait inside. This was about noon. I'd guess that it was half of 2016 (Trump), and about equal to when Cuccinelli lost a very close race without any establishment help in 2013 to McAuliffe. Although the Dems have an edge in VA now, I still think it is very winnable for Republicans. My hope is that we pull out a win in a close election. For those conservatives sitting out because Gillespie is kind of gutless, I know you won't listen but it still needs to be said. You are not helping.
Picking up voters in the rain... drivers less likely to get out and beat on thedoors.
He seems to be a bit smarter than the average establishment twit. Maybe he can change his stripes? Doubtful but within the realm of possibility. Maybe Bannon can volunteer for some deprogramming?

Living in Maryland, our D.C. Swamp counties along with the hell hole of Baltimore usually rule the day over the other 21 more moderate counties.
At least my county of Harford voted overwhelmingly for President Trump last November.

I hate the NY Times newspaper but....they have the best voting return reporting site and information in the world, let alone the country!!! They are not like CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, Politico, etc. with a bunch of bias BS. They tell it as it occurs, good,bad or, otherwise.
At 7:00 PM, I will lock in with them and stay there until the race in Virginia is called. I could care less about New Jersey, the idiots are going down the Obama, Clinton, Democrat rabbit hole. They must just love getting screwed royally by the Democrat low life, that rape them with excessive taxes to cover and, fund, the illegal immigrants, freeloaders, and the New Jersey murder, glee boys, the MS-13 dudes. What a state...man!!!
Maryland is a good state except for the DC suburbs (Montgomery and PG Counties) and Baltimore. The problem is that, like in Virginia, these counties have the numbers and the votes to overrule the good parts of the state. Too many Mass/NY City transplants.

Sorry, I’m not sweating this one at all. It is NOT a referendum on the President and the Media that will be pushing that particular narrative have lost all credibility.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and predict Gillespie by 2 points.
I worry about absentee ballots, almost always heavy Dems & 7% of the vote.
High taxes on the rich and unbridled spending will kill New Jersey just like it’s killing Connecticut.
One day they’ll wake up and realize that the goose that laid the golden egg isn’t dead. He just left the state.

BTW, I’m praying that the combination of New York/New Jersey snowbirds descending upon Florida with the elimination of the SALT tax deductions as well as refugees flooding in from Puerto Rico don’t flip Florida solidly blue.
Governor Scott is reportedly being encouraged to run against Bill Nelson for Senate, which also places the state house in Tallahassee in jeopardy.
Losing Florida would leave the GOP with only one large state, Texas, to count on. And, that only depends upon President Trump’s building of the Wall and associated efforts to clamp down on illegal immigrants.
