Sheila Jackson Lee Claims the Moon Is 'Made Up Mostly of Gasses' (It's Not)

This is what happens when you teach nothing but racism in school, and leave out anything actually, you know, educational. >p> During an event in Houston just before the eclipse Monday morning, Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee told the audience gathered at the Mickey Leland Federal Building that the moon was made up “mostly of gasses” (it isn’t) and that it's "almost impossible to go near the sun" (we actually can't go near it at all) because it's a "mighty powerful heat" (you don't say!?).

Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee: It's "almost impossible to go near the sun," but the "moon is more manageable" because it's "made up mostly of gases" (it isn't)pic.twitter.com/0t8CPI4QzW — RNC Research (@RNCResearch) April 9, 2024

“You need light and energy from the sun so that you have the energy of the moon at night and sometimes you’ve heard the word ‘full moon,’ that’s when you take the opportunity to come out and see that the full moon is that complete rounded circle, which is made up mostly of gasses,” Jackson Lee rambled, having seemingly forgotten her prepared remarks - and rudimentary science, along with them.

Perhaps she really means her own “moon” . . .

She’s the same one who said she hopes the Mars Rover finds the flag that Armstrong planted there.

Sheila, you should try following the example of the Greek Mythological character Icarus, and see just how close to the sun you can get.

It never ceases to amaze me how people with such astounding levels of stupidity get to such levels of power.

Well we really do not know.

Supposedly the moon is hollow, and if so it could be full of gases.

If it turns out to be an artificial construct all bets are off except the one where the Govt denies everything it knows.

I’m always reminded of Daniel 4:17 when it comes to such things.

If we land in the wrong place it could tip over.

...because “we” aren’t paying attention. In this case, we let education slip to a bunch of woke stuff and left out facts.

Fortunately you don't have to travel out to space to find something large and gaseous.

This thread is useless with pics. That’s why I refrained from posting SJL’s mug; no need for Abrams’ disastrous visage to be seen either . . .

It never ceases to amaze me how people with such astounding levels of stupidity get to such levels of power.

What's so amazing about it? She was elected to office. And repeatedly reelected.

What's so amazing to me is how many people still believe that "representative democracy" is fit for purpose in terms of a system for running a country.
