Senator Patrick Leahy
Chairman
Senate Judiciary Committee
224 Dirksen Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20510
June 4, 2002
Re: Status of Senate Judiciary
Chairman Patrick Leahy
Dear Senator Leahy:
On July 28, 1987, you were forced to resign from the Senate Intelligence Committee (Committee). Specifically, you disclosed to one or more reporters information from a confidential draft report that the Committee had voted against releasing.
Landmark Legal Foundation (Landmark) contacted the Senate Ethics Committee in search of any investigative information relating to your unauthorized disclosure of confidential information. Landmark was informed that any such information no longer exists. To this day, the public does not know the full extent of your misconduct. However, what is known is that you leaked confidential information in contravention of a Committee decision.
If you cannot be trusted to serve on the Senate Intelligence Committee, then you cannot be trusted to serve as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee at a time when that Committee is overseeing an investigation into the governments intelligence operations specifically, the FBIs counter-terrorism activities. This is the most important investigation of national security matters since the Empire of Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. You will have access to thousands of pages of classified information and closed door testimony.
Moreover, potential witnesses are likely to be less forthcoming because of your track record of compromising confidential information.
Therefore, Landmark asks that you step aside as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee until the Committee has completed its highly sensitive investigation. If you refuse to do so voluntarily, Landmark asks that the other Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee direct you to step aside.
In addition, by this letter, Landmark is requesting that the Attorney General direct the FBI to withhold classified information from the Committee until you step aside.
Sincerely,
Mark R. Levin

The above is a letter Landmark Legal Foundation sent today to Senator Leahy, the Senate Judiciary Committee and Attorney General Ashcroft calling on Senator Leahy to step aside as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee in the probe of U.S. intelligence activities relating to the September 11 terror attacks.

Correct thinking, but Leahy is too arrogant to do the right thing (not that he would know the right thing if it slapped him in the face).

For once, somebody is going after the group that need to be gone after in ref to prior knowledge of 9-11. And that person is NOT President Bush. Thank GOD for Mark Levin!

They're in a soundproof room today; I'm wondering how long it will be before the leaks start.

Your headline left me wondering which landmark made this statement.

If leaky leahy keeps up the good work, maybe just maybe, he will approach the leading standard bearers of lying, cheating, perverted actions and moral bankrupt status of the klinonoids, willy the pervert and his partner crusty, as a standard bearer in training for slimeyness, perversion and lying.

"They're in a soundproof room today; I'm wondering how long it will be before the leaks start."Tonight's wire services, I would imagine--"sources close to the hearings say..." But then, only if it damages W. If not, then the news will be the secrecy....

Wow. Nice broadside. All hands on deck, USS Leahy is taking on water. That's right -- "Leaky Leahy" is the common nickname for this loser.

You mean, how long before we get ANOTHER leak to the media from someone who is obviously willing to compromise sources and methods? Whoever is doing it should be shot as soon as they are found out. When will we make an example of these traitors?
To: Corporate Law
Yes, Leahy certainly is too arrogant to step aside and everybody knows it.
However, a drumbeat must get rolling, louder and louder until as many people as possible are reminded / informed of what a scumbag (and danger to national security) Leahy is. Please bump.
