Report from Front Lines: Visit to Sierra Club Office

Hubby just called to report on his visit to the local Sierra Club office in Phoenix.

He had tried calling many times yesterday, and couldn't get through on the phone lines.

Their office front doors were locked--he kept knocking and knocking until they gave up and let him in (LOL). The office window shades were drawn, and they obviously wanted everyone to think they were closed.

The woman who runs the office is one PISSED OFF bull dyke(not making this up). She was extremely angry that he was "bothering" them. She said she was "too busy" and "didn't have time to talk to people like him."

He asked her how many lawyers the Sierra Club employed, and she refused to answer. He asked her what the Sierra Club was doing to help put out the fires and she said "that's none of your business.". He asked her how much federal (taxpayer) grant money the Sierra Club got this year; she said "I don't have to answer that question."

There was a young man in the office who was actually polite and willing to talk to my hysband, but the B.D. was an absolute b*tch.

While hubby was in the office, the B.D. was replaying recorded phone messages left for them by angry callers. Hubby overhead three of the messages. All three were from enraged refugees of the fire who left f-word-peppered messages. One man (said he lost his home in the fire) said he was going to get even with them, he had a gun, and he'd take his time to get even. The BD was taking notes and muttering about filing police reports.

While I don't support anyone threatening violence on the Sierra Club, I can certainly understand how some of the displaced residents could be completely enraged at this point.

Frankly, I'm glad Governor Hull set off a firestorm criticizing enviro-wacko groups and how their lawsuits have paralyzed the Forest Service in general. The dialogue that's ensuing is a good thing.

A while ago, President Bush made some remarks to some of those evacuated from these fires. He got a rousing ovation when he said that something needs to be done about the policies that allow this sort of thing to happen.

Sorry--can't sue Sierra Club for filing lawsuits that result in disastrous environmental damage, nor can you sue teachers for failing to teach children to read, nor judges who send children away with dangerous caregivers to be abused, nor INS administrators who let terrorists in the door, nor lawyers for making our products and services too expensive to buy....I can go on and on with people who are morally culpable and legally untouchable.

You can, however, sue lots of people who have done nothing wrong...

Hey knock it off and quit picking on big oil.

I like big oil and will go fill up my SUV this afternoon at a big oil station. No mom and pop gasoline refineries in Cali thanks to the enviral nazis.

You guys, who hate big oil should have to buy all of your gasoline from Club Sierra filling stations manned by hostile Bull Dyke Lesbo Envirals. You know the Club Sierra filling stations with mom and pop gas and with alternative energy coming soon in a decade or century or so to your area. Understand you might get a fuel cell in this century sometime, maybe.

In the mean time, I'm very happy to have big oil selling me gasoline for my big OJ Simpson autographed White Bronco.

Let us know the next time you fill up with a mom and pop gasoline. I hope you enjoy walking! :)

I know that you will not buy any gasoline from an evil big oil company. Just let us know when Club Sierra opens up their mom and pop gasoline station. With a maximum of one gallon each year per customer.

They can file a lawsuit that halts cleaning up the deadfall (fuel) in the now burning forests at the drop of a hat. Why can't they be sued both as an organization and as individuals by those who have suffered loss as the result of their policies, lawsuits etc.? They aren't a government agency yet!

Amazing how the little greenie princesses and princes have environmental interests that mesh up quite well with Daddy's or Hubby's Major Oil market interests. No competition to small to stomp on and squash like the bugs they are.

What a great idea for a freep! I would be there in a heartbeat if I could. The press will eat it up if a few hundred people protested at the Sierra Club. An excellent time to get nonpolitical people involved in the conservative cause. Nothing like having your house burn down to raise consciousness.

Great story, thanks for giving me a smile today. It's such a shame that my beautiful home state will suffer so much damage because of these b$%#^%$s, but I guess if it results in their extinction, some good will come out of this horror! GG

The only way to find out is to actually file a suit and see what happens. Better yet, take a page from the anti-gunners handbook and file MULTIPLE suits in MULTIPLE jurisdictions.

Eventually, you will find a judge who doesn't think the Sierras are untouchable

I'm from Colorado and there's a lot of pissed off people here, too, and to hell with the Sierra CLub and their stupid policies. We aren't going to take it anymore!

I'm typing this before I walk out the door for a meeting with our county officials, fire officials and forest service people tonight. We've been told that a fire in the San Isabel National Forest is almost inevitable and to make matters worse, we're in the middle of a dry thunderstorm.

We all can make a difference if we write to our congress people and scream bloody murder.

Nothing would give me more pleasure than to see the Sierra Club disappear.

He blamed the drought.
