Fox News has announced that they'll show the sequence of the planes hitting the WTC once, then never again.
We should be showing everything that happened, all the shocking footage, especially the parts that were never shown in the first place.
Peacenicks should have to deal with the images of innocent people jumping to their deaths, and even the aftermath at ground level. This sort of whitwash is an outrage.

Agreed. I think they shoud just pop in the tape from last 9/11 and let it run all day. Let's see it as it was.

Restraint in the fight against terrorism is politically correct, too.
Tell that to the History channel, et al re: Holocaust.
Why if I hadn't been repeatedly exposed to those films of the Japanese navy planes swooping in on Pearl Harbor on that quiet Sunday morning, I just know I wouldn't carry with me to this very day an alarming animosity to all things Japanese and the firm belief that if it suited their purposes they'd do it again tomorrow.
I don't want to spend the rest of my life hating the devious swine that murdered 3,000 of my fellow citizens and wanting to exterminate them where ever and whenever they are found.
Oh no, I don't want that!
/sarcasm
Its not Fox News' job to fight the war on terrorism, that is for our Government. Fox News' job is report on the war so we can see if our Government is doing its job.
Unlike the other television media, FNC has shown the planes hitting the WTC many times in the past 11 month
Years ago, I had a tape I popped into the VCR everytime interesting news was on. I had Chernobyl, Tianamin Square, the Berlin Wall, the election of Bush 1, etc. I have become convinced the reason news is never rebroadcast because when you see the original weeks later it is amazing how inaccurate they are. They are NEVER on target, and some of the things said are unbelievable.
When I first saw the 9-11 archive, I watched almost all of it over a matter of weeks. The point that struck me the most was very few anchors thought it was intentional. They kept thinking it was an accident. They kept asking stupid questions such as is there something wrong with the air traffic control, even after the 2nd crash. Very few jumped to the conclusion of a terrorist attack. And yes, Peter Jennings made a comment about is this a response for all the things America has done in the world.
By the way, America attacks is on CNNFN tommorrow at 2. I hope it is as good as the first one.
The problem here is that, while everyone knows on some sort of indistinct, intellectual, level what happened, if we refuse to look at the footage we deny ourselves the truth of what happened.
In many criminal cases, including murders and rapes, there are pictures of what the victim went through. A good prosecutor knows to show those pictures to the jury, even though it would be tough on the victim or victim's family.
Why?
Because even though the jury has heard what happened, it doesn't hit home how heinous the crime was until they SEE what happened.
The "jury," in this case the American people, may have "heard" what happened, but they are starting to forget. They need to see it again. Otherwise, and we are seeing it happen already, they start to forget the true horror and return to complacency (for example, look at the way people want to call this a tragedy. It was not a tragedy. That implies some sort of accident. THIS WAS MASS MURDER).
The footage must be shown. Not for the victims. Not for the neighbors. But for the nation. We cannot allow the media to shield us from the true horror and, in doing so, shield us from the resolve we need.
I thought that's why they hired Commando Whorealdo?
Seriously, you're an idiot.
