I think it's best that I not get too close to the HildaBeast this close to an election, my FRiend...she'd end up taking a swing at me and I'd have to whup her and her bodyguards' arses and there's no need to rile up the Sheeple with such a scene...LOL!!

You know my own feelings and my own efforts and how they have been applied bro. I'm certainly not a poster boy for "organized" efforts.
However, I am saying that both are necessary and need to work hand in hand ... however that ultimately germinates. I believe they can and believe that FR is the perfect place to develop the MO and perfect it so other constitutinally based activities can emulate.
Best regards and God bless. Again, wish I could have been there.

Seriously, my FRiend, I'd like to pay fer a copy...and I'll even up my ante for Saturday's festivities from a hunge to a hundred and fifty...MUD

"Perhaps they were filming just in case something awful happened, so that they could catch the bad guys later? Were they filming everyone, or just our little group?"
They seemed to be filming mostly the intersection of Constitution and 17th, so that would be where the leftists turn and go by our rally site. So I think it's the former. They didn't have their cameras directed at us.
The police I'm pretty sure don't make a hobby of glaring at our photos. But if you're asking me whether, say, the Park Police take a few photos of the group so that if something happens later they have visual images -- well, sure, I bet they do that. Personally, I don't think that's creepy. Given the left's previous violence at these rallies, I think that's solid police work. It's not like they go into some international database: they just have them so that if later in the day, they need them, they got them. I don't know this for sure but I figure as much.
My theory is: they can take photos of my pretty mug all day long, 'cause I ain't doing anything wrong, so that's only going to be useful to them if God forbid I'm a victim of some leftist sign-beating or something!
To: FreeTheHostages
Oh, I agree - it's only creepy if they were filming us exclusively. If they're filming the whole crowd, or an intersection or other particular area where there's a great deal of activity, that's no biggie. :o)

PURTY THANG too isn't it?

Hmm ... speaking of film and photos, I saw that someone is going to post some. Will that be in this thread, or ... ? My family who couldn't make it to the rally are all poised, waiting to see them! No pressure, mind you. :o) Thanks!
To: isthisnickcool
She was likely confused because she saw Iraqi Muslims and blacks speaking and thought it was the leftists protest. But, once she heard facts and information being used instead of emotion and stupidity she didn't know what to do. And had a "leftists moment". Which is just yelling without saying anything sensible. It's like having Tourette's Syndrome. They just can't help themselves. Actually, whenever there are conservatives speaking on college campuses, it's a knee-jerk reflext for the leftists to go shout them down so they can't be heard. I imagine she was quite surprised that she couldn't do the same at the FR rally...

City of Dearborn Unfairly Charges Islamic Cleric
June 24, 2002
Dearborn, Michigan
Imam Hisham Al-Husainy, a local Islamic scholar, has been unfairly charged with Protesting Without a Permit by the Dearborn Police Department and faces a maximum jail term of 90 days and fines up to $500, as a result of his participation in a Pro-Palestinian Rally on April 14, 2002 in the City of Dearborn.
According to Dearborn Police, Imam Al-Husainys participation in the demonstration, which he joined halfway through, makes him liable for the fact that the organizers had not obtained a permit. Imam Al-Husainys attorney has indicated that during the march, police made no effort to stop the demonstrators, even as the crowd grew, eventually reaching mass numbers of 2,000-4,000. In fact, more police arrived to assist in keeping order.
Although Imam Al-Husainy was only one of five clergymen present at the rally, Dearborn Police singled him out, because he was the only individual, who went to the police station to personally apologize on behalf of the community for protesting without a permit, as advised by a mayoral staff member . Two other individuals, Mr. Imad Chammout and Mr. Libib Bijayih, who participated in the demonstration, have also been charged with the same offense.
On Tuesday, June 18, 2002, Imam Al-Husainy appeared in court to face the charges against him and entered a plea of Not Guilty. The Imam is scheduled to return to court (19th District) tomorrow, Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at 1:30 PM, before the Honorable William J. Runco."
