What's the deal with sore loser Congressional DISTRICT 4 - Write In
..Deborah Katz Pueschel? Ander Crenshaw, the Republican candidate is a far better candidate, 100% right to life, 100% for the self employed and small business, 100% with the Christian Coalition. He is also very strong on tax reform.
He is a member of the Armed Services Committee, Budget, and Veteran's Affairs. We need a man like Crenshaw, not a sore loser like Pueschel.
To: davidosborne
Is there a party affiliation with Pueschel?

Thanks, David! Very helpful! I think I disagree with the Wells retention, though. He was complicit in the original unanimous decision, as I recall, but dissented on the second one, probably because he knew he was coming up for retention. Besides, he was appointed by Chiles and I'd love to see him out and one of Jeb's picks in...

I disagree with your assessment of Deborah as a sore loser... I know Ander Crenshaw will win.. My vote for her is to oppose the election law loophole which SHUT OUT voters from the PRIMARY, creating a defacto PRIMARY election. Florida law provides for the oportunity for voters to participate in the PRIMARY election if their party does not produce a candidate... in this case a "no-name" write in candidate essentially SHUT OUT many conservative voters who happen to be registered Democrats.
My hope is that many of our "conservative" Democrats will come home to the GOP where they are more properly represented.. until then IMHO they should be given the oportunity to participate in the PRIMARY election if their party of record does not produce a candidate..

She is a Republican....here is a link to her site.. If you take the time to read her views you will find her to be a CONSERVATIVE LEADER... wheras Crenshaw is more a CONSERVATIVE FOLLOWER.. IMHO..

The U.S. Supreme Court essentially adopted WELLS dissent in the final stages of the Bush v. Gore, 2000 Presidential Case.

Presumably, she lost the primary, so not enough voters share your POV.Get over it, and have her run again in 2004.This is no time to play Don Quixote.

Too bad Louisianians don't vote in Florida.

actually the fact of the matter is MOST of the voters in the "new" 4th District didn't even know who either of the candidates were due to the drastic changes in this district... hopefully the voters will have learned thier lesson and get it right in 2004...

at least not GOP Louisianians... I will bet some DEM's will figure out how to vote in BOTH states :)

Sorry, I had to look this one up.. You obviously don't know me very well.... but thanks for playing I have some lovely parting gifts for you.. </sarcasm
Don Quixote is a middle-aged gentleman from the region of La Mancha in central Spain. Obsessed with the chivalrous ideals touted in books he has read, he decides to take up his lance and sword to defend the helpless and destroy the wicked. After a first failed adventure, he sets out on a second one with a somewhat befuddled laborer named Sancho Panza, whom he has persuaded to accompany him as his faithful squire. In return for Sancho's services, Don Quixote promises to make Sancho the wealthy governor of an isle. On his horse, Rocinante, a barn nag well past his prime, Don Quixote rides the roads of Spain in search of glory and grand adventure. He gives up food, shelter, and comfort, all in the name of a peasant woman, Dulcinea del Toboso, whom he envisions as a princess.

I know who you are.You are some wannabe who wants to run for US Senate and has advertised this all over FR for the past year.Am am warm?
To: habs4ever
Actually I was refering to the comparision you made of me to Don Quixote... You are way off base on that one.. I speak my mind, and give my opinion just like every other FReeper.. for you to suggest that my motives are otherwise is offensive... I don't expect an apology but I forgive you anyway... I think we agree on far more than we disagree on,.... however this practice of giving defference to "incumbant republicans" is even more offensive to me..

Your analysis of Deborah and this situation is way off..
Deborah is pleased with the number of votes she got.. I spend a lot of time recruiting people into or should I say "back to" the Republican party..
Many real conservatives are comming back, and trying to fix this problem we have of running to the middle on the "controversial" stuff..
There are enough real conservatives in this state (Florida), that if we all came back to the GOP we could set the trend for the rest of the country to follow..
Many of our local leaders are truly conservative, and almost ALWAYS support the GOP candidates in the General election but feel they don't stand a chance at the local level unless they register as Democrats... we can and will reverse this trend.. and I intend to lead the charge..
FReegards,
David
To: davidosborne
That is why you have a primary. You settle it then, not on the General Election. Is this too difficult for you to understand? She lost, its over, so any attempt by her to get on the ballot smacks of pique and being a sore loser. And those that promote such nonsense are unsuited for running for higher office. So, I guess that means...YOU!!
To: davidosborne
Go ahead and lead the charge and take your chances in the Republican Primary. But accept the verdict and either work toward helping that candidate or stay out of the way and do not activly work against the winner of the primary.
