USO Canteen FReeper Style ~ Help Decorate the Canteen Christmas Tree ~ December 14 2002
68-69TonkinGulfYatchClub and FRiends of the Canteen

Posted on 12/14/2002 5:28:07 AM PST by 68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub

It's that time of year to start decorating the Canteen Christmas Tree.
We know from traffic stats from the Post Office that military lurkers come here daily.
They come to "escape" from the often dreary world they live in while ensuring our Freedom.
Many of our service men and women are experiencing their 1st Holiday Season away from home.

Will you take a few moments from your day today to post an ornament for the tree?
This may be cyberspace but know that military lurkers today will know they are not forgotten.

50-75% chance? Hmmmmmmm........I was beginning to think that we wouldn't have any either. Looks, now, like it will stay cold enough to keep what we have. I sure do hope so. With so many dark hours, the white snow helps brighten all around, and helps with driving. Good luck to you for snow before Christmas.

A GOOD SATURDAY AFTERNOON TO Y'ALL!

Good morning, afternoon, or evening to our troops, veterans, and allies wherever you may be around the globe. Thank You for protecting the Freedoms of this wonderful country we call Home.

I'd love to stay for a while but I'd totally forgotten our car club is having its Christmas party this evening. But I wanted to say "hello" before we leave, and while I'm here, I'll be happy to put a few pretties on the Christmas tree for the troops.

Tinsel, too! giggle!

I'll stop back by when we get home. Have a wonderful evening decorating the tree for our troops. It's going to be gorgeous!! Watch out for 'spiked' eggnog. hehehehehe!

Oooooh myyyyyy! Here we go again! Do I have to spend the evening worrying about you girlz skiing, flying, and jumping out of planes? LOL!!! Y'all have fun but BE CAREFUL! Hopefully we won't be out too late and I'll be able to try this. (Is it possible to just sit down on skis and ride 'em down that way? hehehe! I've never tried skiing before.)

Gotta go but I will be back!
