An anti-war sign hangs around the neck of a statue of President Abraham Lincoln in Portland, Ore., Saturday Jan 18, 2003. In Portland, police said at least 20,000 people marched through downtown. (AP Photo/Steve Slocum)

Startling new "evidence" shows that President Lincoln opposed fighting the Civil War.

Many FReepers may have wondered what purpose the ugly art in downtown metropolitan regions was erected for. Now we know.

High school kids who do this sort of thing would be cited for loitering, skateboarding, and being a public nuisance. Adults who should know better aren't.

Here's another protester who'd like to see that bellydancer. Shows that they aren't "anti-war" but Anti-American-War and Anti-Bush. War against Israel is just fine to them.

Someone has channeled the spirit of MLK Jr. and from beyond the grave he has endorsed supporting Saddam's Iraq?

Just another way to be able to yell "racism" at anyone who would support this war.

New evidence shows Lincoln didn't want to fight the civil war? Gee, all he had to do would have been not to commit troops! But he had no choice; he didn't want the North to have to pay all the taxes - that was the job of the South! There was no income tax then, the Feds were funded by tarrifs. The south did most of the import and export business, thus paid most of the taxes. The idea of finding different funding for the government never occured to him!

These are all the same folks who DEMANDED that GWB go to the United Nations before attacking Iraq. He went to the U.N.

Now the U.N. seems to be doing everything it can to thwart U.S. policy. So who do they blame?? (hint: not themselves!).
