Messianic Judiasm Pastor using NASA on Blood moon eclipses: 2nd Coming in 2015

And can studying NASA’s website provide evidence for such a scenario?

A minister who promotes the Old Testament roots of Christianity suggests a rare string of lunar and solar eclipses said to fall on God’s annual holy days seven years from now could herald what’s come to be known as the “Second Coming” of Jesus.

“God wants us to look at the biblical calendar,” says Mark Biltz, pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Wash. “The reason we need to be watching is [because] He will signal His appearance. But we have to know what to be watching as well. So we need to be watching the biblical holidays.”

In a video interview on the Prophecy in the News website, Biltz said he’s been studying prophecies that focus on the sun and moon, even going back to the book of Genesis where it states the lights in the sky would be “be for signs, and for seasons.”

He states after 2015 there are no more Eclipses that fall on the Jewish Passover ever.

This would mean coming this fall would be the Final Tribulation marking Daniel's 70th week. (The last 7 years)

I think there’s something in the Bible about no man knowing the day or hour.

I wonder if that verse has been removed from their copies, or do they think He was lying?

There are seven YHvH commanded Feast Days
  • Yah'shua re-celebrated Passover where
he lead the "Last supper" (Pesach Seder)
with the bread (afikomen) and wine (third cup) of the Passover seder.

  • He died on the re-celebrated Feast of Unleavened Bread
where all "sin" (leaven) was removed.

  • He rose from the dead on the re-celebrated Feast of First Fruits,
where the best is offered to Elohim.

  • The Ru'ach HaKodesh( Holy Spirit) breathed on the
apostles on the re-celebrated Feast of Shavuot (pentecost).

  • The next Feast to be re-celebrated will be the Feast of Trumpets.

Oh, I have no doubt that it's referring to the moon changing color. (Though given that Islam is linked to the moon, a "moon of blood" does suggest some interesting possibilties . . .) I just don't think that a normal lunar eclipse is in view.

I could be wrong, of course. But we've got too much to do and too little time as is without wasting time, effort, and credibility on date-setting games.

Shalom!

I have doubts every time there are other possibilities....even remote possibilities.

And you just added an additional one....Islamic moon....:>)

He meant “when.”

No one knows when.

As soon as someone says they know when, then I know they’re wrong.

Is there some reason or scripture or fable that you believe in that makes him wrong ?

I give you much more credit than those who just state that the "church" says so.

This is what it is all about:

Really?

Maybe there are some things more important than being able to predict future events.

Maybe fortune telling is... something to be avoided.

Matthew 24:32-51

32 "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34 I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

36 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

42 "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.

44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

45 "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.

48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I once heard a discussion regarding Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, and Post-Trib.

When all is said and done, Don’t be a “Post-Toastie”

Matthew 24: 36 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

I presume you are of the Romanist/Reformist belief system.

That system of belief rejects the observance of the Holy Convocations of YHvH,
the creator of the universe, as spelled out in His Holy Word in Leviticus 23.

That system instead replaces the commandments of G-d with Pagan Fables and blinds it's adherents.

There is the parable of the ten virgins in the following chapter of Matthew on the same subject.

Alfred Edersheim has a great deal to say about being prepared with you own oil.

See chapter seven of book five of THE LIFE & TIMES OF JESUS THE MESSIAH VOL. 2
by Alfred Edersheim.

If you reject the Holy Convocations commanded in Leviticus 23, you will be without oil.

The fact that Yah'shua re-celebrated each of the first four of the seven YHvH
commended feasts in sequence and within metaphor, it would seem apparent to a
follower that the fifth would be the next to be re-celebrated within metaphor.

The metaphors of unexpected arrival of the bridegroom, the shout, the trumpet of G-d
all point to the Feast of Trumpets.

1 Thessalonians 4: 13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

messierhunter said:
Again, awfully sure of ourselves aren’t we? Thessalonians does not give a time frame for the rapture except that it occurs at the coming of the Lord, and to me that says post-trib, christ’s return after the trib. I wish I was wrong, I wish I didn’t believe that Christians would have to endure the tribulation, but unfortunately I’ve looked at the verses and I can’t in all honesty say that I see a pre-trib rapture being described.

messierhunter can I ask you who do you think the 24 elders are in Revelation?

The 24 elders are seated on thrones, wearing white garments and golden crowns. These were promised to the Church at the Judgment Seat of Christ, which is at the coming of Christ at the rapture (2 Timothy 4:8; 1 Peter 5:4).

The 24 elders sing a song of redemption even though they sing it in the third person, which is possible (Exodus 115:13,16-17) to sing a song about yourself in the third person.

The 24 elders focus in their interpretation to John the white-robed multitude and the slain Lamb, Jesus Christ. Redeemed men would better understand the redemptive work of Christ than angels.

The 24 elders are distinguished from “all the angels” (Revelation 7:11).

The 24 elders are only seen in Revelation after John goes to heaven (Revelation 4:1-2) and are absent in the visions of Isaiah and Ezekiel of heaven.

The 24 elders are very different from angels.

The 24 elders can’t be angels for the Church will even judge angels (1 Corinthians 6:3).

It is clear that the 24 elders proves that the Church is in heaven before the Tribulation. This means that the rapture has to be before the Tribulation for we see the 24 elders (Revelation 4:4) in heaven before the Tribulation starts in Revelation 6.

Further proof of the Church not being in the Tribulation is that the Tribulation is a “Time of Jacob’s Trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7). The seventy weeks prophecy is for Israel (Daniel 9:24) and that includes the seventieth week, which is the Tribulation.

We see that Israel not the Church will endure the Tribulation. The Church is promised present-day Tribulation (Revelation 2:10) but Israel is warned of the Tribulation (Daniel 12:1; Matthew 24:21).

There is no warning for the Church about the Tribulation. The Church was promised that they “will judge the world” (1 Corinthians 6:2) and “will judge angels” (1 Corinthians 6:3).

Revelation 20:4 says, “Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them.” This is probably referring to the 24 elders so if the Church was promised that they will judge the world and angels and if Revelation 20:4 confirms this through the 24 elders then the Church then this proves that the 24 elders represent the Church.

The 24 elders points to the belief that the rapture is before the Tribulation.

I agree it’s probably a feast of trumpets. Whether it’s this year or not, I don’t know and won’t guess, but let’s hope whenever it is that we are found faithful and ready.

Ready2go, can I ask what this has to do with thessalonians? Can I ask why you think your interpretation of a biblical metaphore is the only possible interpretation? In fact, I believe the 24 elders may be referring to the saints who arose from the grave after Jesus died on the cross (Matthew 27:52).
