The patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Ethiopia says he will announce to the world Friday the unveiling of the Ark of the Covenant, perhaps the world's most prized archaeological and spiritual artifact, which he says has been hidden away in a church in his country for millennia, according to the Italian news agency Adnkronos.
Abuna Pauolos, in Italy for a meeting with Pope Benedict XVI this week, told the news agency, "Soon the world will be able to admire the Ark of the Covenant described in the Bible as the container of the tablets of the law that God delivered to Moses and the center of searches and studies for centuries."
The announcement is expected to be made at 2 p.m. Italian time from the Hotel Aldrovandi in Rome. Pauolos will reportedly be accompanied by Prince Aklile Berhan Makonnen Haile Sellassie and Duke Amedeo D'Acosta.
Jeremiah 3:16 points to a time when the Ark will vanish not only physically, but from the minds of the people: "And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more."
The Book of Revelation says the Ark is in the temple of God in heaven (Rev. 11:19). Muslim scholars say it will be found near the end of times by the Mahdi a messianic figure in Islam
Well, we know it wasn’t found in Al Capone’s vault.
Its 8:25
Well for me, it’s 7:30... LOL...
I think a space shot of the region shows the most probable crossing route . . . a shelf underwater . . . south of the shelf, the water is MUCH deeper. It is deep enough at the shelf for a huge miracle.
Anyway—that shelf—near the Southern end of that shelf—on both sides . . . is where the evidence was discovered, IIRC.
BTW, I don’t think that the Ethiopian Ark is the real Ark.
—certainly not the elaborate one God directed to be covered in gold encasing all the artifacts etc.
The Calvary hidden Ark sounds interesting.
You said — I think a space shot of the region shows the most probable crossing route . . . a shelf underwater . . . south of the shelf, the water is MUCH deeper. It is deep enough at the shelf for a huge miracle.

Well, I’m not sure if I know the exact spot you’re saying, but one area that I’m thinking about is not the standard route that is said (in some Bible commentaries and maps) that Moses took the Jews. It’s completely off track of the conventional route given — totally.
That’s why I keep asking people what area, exactly, are they talking about. One place is not going to have anything and another place may have something.
You wouldn’t be able to mark coordinates on a Google Map and post the link would you?
I’m talking about something in this general vicinity (a rough approximation from memory)...
I haven't had time to read the whole thread, but I assume you're talking about the Ron Wyatt "discovery?" A little research reveals that Ron Wyatt MAY have well been a huckster. Lots of the people who worked with him later distanced themselves when they saw the videos he released, saying that the videos didn't remotely reflect what really happened during their research.
Anyone have a link for live info on the Ark's unveiling? This is HUGE news and I can't wait to see what happens.
MM (in TX)
...Maybe everyone there melted.
I know Wyatt is controversial.
Thx.
Maybe everyone there melted
Lolol

And worse.

Well, this guy knows his stuff so I’m not going to get too excited about this great find. I hope there IS something there to prove to the naysayers regarding Bible history, but like the shroud of Turin, it’s a wait and see for me.
anybody see it?
bttt
Lolol
Ummm..., are we past the time yet — or did the Ark of the Covenant kill everyone who was there and viewing it?
From what I understand the Italian Clergy from the Vatican is giving the Ethiopian Preist some pull-back in un-veiling the ark...Trying to follow this, much of what is going on is in Italian...We need a translator!
Okay..., I guess we’ll wait and see, after it all shakes out...
