Christian Newswire ^ | July 7, 2010

Bill Keller, leader of the world's largest interactive Christian website for 11 years, Liveprayer.com, was in the national news a few years ago for his now infamous quote, "a vote for Romney is a vote for Satan!" Keller is now after another Mormon, radio and TV personality Glenn Beck.

beliefs because his public persona is not about prosletizing Mormonism. He is about politics.

Thanks. So he doesn't promote his religion - there is another reason for this attack from Keller and it's political. IMO, that's deception on Keller's part - a no no for a Christian.

Knowing the truth it is all the more better to embrace the True Church!

I am so blessed to hear and know my Master voice

I thank God I received a Copy of the Book of Mormon

I thank God that in these days of uncertainty I have the Church and the Standard works to guide me through these latter days.

So many passages in the Book of Mormon I witness unfold in this current day.

So all you naysayer, gainsayer and mockers you go your way and I will humbly go my way!

I can always blame people like you, resty. :D

But I won't give you all the credit.

My Lord saved me, and took me outside the Mormon prison of self-righteousness, self-absorption, and self-worship, and set me free.

I don’t believe that the Spirit of God led you there, I believe that Satan has led you there. You are making the same mistake that Joseph Smith made. Anything changes the meaning of the Bible and adds to or subtract from it is not of God. The Bible says not to believe every spirit but to test the spirits to see if they are from God. I Timothy 4:1-3. Take heed, my friend, there is a way that seems right to man but in the end leads to death. (Proverbs 14:12)

I will not say anymore to you about this. I pray that God open the eyes of your spirit.
_____________________________________________________________________________

While I appreciate what you are trying to do, save me from “satan” that you say led me to where I am, I must respectfully disagree. I don't like to hash doctrine on the internet, I said that before, but I will answer this, as it is very dear to me, my faith in Christ, and His gospel.

My faith comes from God, through his Holy Spirit, which He has promised to all those who pray to him in faith. You and others here have said similar things to me in the past, but who am I to listen to, you or God?

There is no contest. Jesus asked Peter once who he was, and when Peter told him he was the Son of God, the Christ blessed him for getting his answer from on high, not from men.

So it is with me. I can no more deny my faith in the living God and his living prophets, than I can deny that Christ has come in the flesh. (Which BTW is in the verses following what you quoted to me, about trying spirits. All who say Christ is come in the flesh is from God.) (1 John 4) Another poster on the anti threads accused mormonism of being the anti Christ. John makes in clear that my faith in Christ is indeed of God.

I won't try to convince you, you've made up your mind about my faith, that's fine, but know that my Savior and Redeemer is Jesus Christ, who was, is and will be for all time my King. I know that He lives, will come again with justice and mercy for all mankind. I hope to see it in my lifetime.

Go with God, and please let me be. Acts 5 gives some good advice for a forum like this, I think:

Acts 5:
38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

Thanks.

Do not use potty language - or references to potty language - on the Religion Forum.

You

Me

Buddygirl, I'm not here to debate theology, I don't think it serves any purpose on an open thread like this, except to cause contention.
Lets see -

Posted in Religion Forum

I guess you and I differ on what the forum is for. If you use it to debate, count me out.

Attempts to equate all Christianity to Keller

Heavens no! Never said anything like that, rather just a few likeminded folks on this site.

Voices mormon hate directed towards any challenge of mormonism.

nope, just the continual barrage against all things Mormon here.

Oh, but Buddygirl, this was not posted for theological debate, nor to cause contention.

I do get irked sometimes, but try not to do to others what is constantly done to me. Sometimes I fail. Only one person was perfect. And I doubt he'd approve of what goes on here by some

Not only is one required to ‘respect’ those beliefs - they are expected to condone them too.

Actually, I excepted as much as was given here in this whole exchange, given the nature of these threads

Missed anything rip?

BTW, don’t assume that because I engaged you that it will become common.

Right, so just what IS you purpose for this thread hmmmm? And this after you state " He has many clones. Some right here on FR. They share a playbook."

nope, just the continual barrage against all things Mormon here.

Must want some cheese to go with that whine.

SOME, is not all. I see many good Christians, from many different faiths on this forum.

I’ve said my peace. Do what you will.

Not sure - my daughter gave it to me but if I had to guess - I’d say 5 years. It’s not a big deal to me, otherwise I’d do something about it.

I’m not thin skinned, so I find no disrespect at all in your asking. ;)

Can’t agree with you that “faith trumps politics.”. Obama claims Christianity, as does Bill Clinton, but I could not vote for either guy over a conservative mormon or atheist.

Could be that Beck doesn't want to debate his Mormon beliefs because his public persona is not about prosletizing Mormonism. He is about politics.
Perhaps Keller would like to debate him about some political issue on which they disagree? I doubt it.

You hit it on the head. Remember when Ahmadinejad was constantly challenging Bush to a debate.

Yeah, kinda like that.

Edit to add: Remember when he kept referring to the smell of sulfur after Bush spoke at the UN.

Yeah, very much kinda like that.

“A vote for Romney is a vote for Satan”

...and now his latest rant against Beck.

But as one who has been accused of being led by Satan on this very thread, I can assuredly say that I smell no sulfur.

He must have used Fabreeze. ;-)
