I guess we agree. It’s just a lesson in terminology that I hope I can be exemplary to others in myself going by, despite whatever political correctness says. I am quite stubborn about it sometimes.
WHA????? I knew Muslims claimed this, and gays have tried to claim this, but......?
“I was stating fact—not opinion.”
What is the source of your fact?
The fact is that the Catholic vote has traditionally been Democratic, only six times has it gone Republican in Presidential elections, and four of those were simply reelections of an already incumbent, and a fifth was to elect Reagan’s veep in 1988.
The Protestant vote has only gone Democrat 3 times, 1932, 1936, and 1964.
So what you are saying is the you can quit going to Mass and live the life of a heathen and still be considered a Catholic, but if you dare to attend an Evangelical Fellowship, your Catholic Baptism is voided and you cannot be considered a Catholic?
Is that about right?
Who is a better "Catholic", Rubio or Pelosi?
Has Rubio been excommunicated?
If not, then how can you claim he is NOT a Catholic?
And on what grounds should he be excommunicated?
Great question!
Who is a better "Catholic", Rubio or Pelosi?
I suspect most RC's that jumped in with their knee jerk reaction to this are having second thoughts. There is a huge gulf between RC's and Evangelicals, but do they really want to support a pro abortion lefty over a conservative Christian? RC's really need to start looking in the mirror when they start throwing around the word bigot.
The reason Miers was pulled from the SCOTUS nomination was because Evangelicals were not confident in how pro-life and conservative she was. The same Evangelicals supported Alito because they were confident in him in those areas.
