Sergeant dismissed for saying ... nothing

Due to a perceived slight against homosexuality, Senior Master Sgt. Phillip Monk is in a fight for his career. The Lackland Air Force base first sergeant was told by his commanding officer to clear out his office on Aug. 9. The point of contention reportedly is not about anything Monk said, but what he refused to say.

"It's all because he didn't say anything wrong. He thought it," said Steven Branson, pastor of Village Parkway Baptist Church in San Antonio. Monk, his wife and their three teenage sons faithfully attend services each Sunday the pastor said.

Branson said he has been in touch with Monk since the sergeant told him Sunday (Aug. 11) of the untenable situation. The pastor said Monk feels abandoned by the institution he has served for 19 years. Deployed as a medic, Monk devoted himself to saving the lives of his fellow service men and women, according to his pastor.

"Now I'm in trouble," Monk told Branson, "and everybody's leaving me behind."

What has to happen is somebody needs to step up who knows his stuff like the back of his hand and can debate any of these fascist commie constitution shredding punks into the ground and that man is Mark Levin. I write him all the time asking him to step up but he just won’t do it. I don’t know why.

One of my boys is an officer with 27 years in. He is well fixed if they made him retire tomorrow, but that extra retirement pay for 30 would be nice. A close relative is the only chaplain on the Navy base in Puerto Rico, is a Baptist.

I'll bet George Orwell regrets writing the blueprint that the far left is using.

We’ve had resets and so far it’s resulted in an admitted foreign born Islamic terror supporting communist being unconstitutionally elected twice.

I don’t know what the lunch part means,
= = = = = = = = = = = = = =
The ‘lunch’ was just a throw in. The reason I spent ANY time around there prior was to keep THEM informed of how their company was doing and apprised what we would be doing..

I just got to the point where I didn’t want to be ‘around’ anyone and ‘invited’ them to ‘my office’ out in the field where the ‘fish were biting’ Guess that will upset a PETA type...<; <: <: .

I am renting from a friend of mine (USMC RET) and before I moved in was talking to his wife and made some kind of statement like “They don’t call it Black Friday for nothing” or something along that line.

She informed me that she had been raised in a Marine household and bases etc, and had heard all the snide racial, sexual etc remarks she could use for a lifetime.

She started to name off a few (to show how worldly?) and when she got to “Irish Pennants”
I jumped in with “Do you mean Irish Penance?” “That is when you are ordered to say a prayer before, during and after drinking”.

She looked me straight in the eye and said “NO!— IRISH PENNANTS”
....I made/make it a point to speak when spoken to in regards to her and never comment on anything.

You Sea Service Types know what ‘Irish Pennants’ are (at least those from ‘my’ era) and I never took it ‘personal’ or figured anything Racial or Ethnic involved.

No, that is what the status quo got us.

Look around you. The huge push to supernormalize homosexuality and forbid anone saying anything that is not praise for it must have and is obviously having effects. Fewer and fewer normals are willing to say that homosexuality is not normal of even that it is not Christian. More and more boys and girls are being pushed into lock themselves into the wrong choice in a moment of pubescent confusion and are being “counseled” that they are in, fact homosexual, and must embrace it. 2% was true 40 years ago.I think it is inching up to 6 or 7% and will be 10% in the fairly near future. Then we will become more like the pagan world of yore where, men especially, behave as homosexuals until married and their adulterous acts will be as likely homosexual as hetero. In this society with radically liberated females, though perhaps it is more likely that an unnaturally large percentage of males will become exclusively homosexual.

And consider, Homosexuals are just as “activist” as are Moslems. What happens to a society when it has become about 10% Moalem? Things go to hell pretty viciously. Homosexuals or Moslems when they are more than 2 or 3% grab hold of the politics and push everyone else around. Everything after that is about placating the Homosexuals or the Moslems.

Or possibly, Colonel Deborah J. Liddick?

We go from sex scandals and men being relieved at the top to lesbian commanders who force their ideology on underlings. And that’s in San Antonio. Got it.

I wonder how many women will be happy with that?

Or as Cervantes puts it quoting a contemporary Spanish saying in his introduction to Don Quixote:
“under my cloak the king is a joke” (one translator - appropriate in other news today) which is more accurately translated “under my cloak I kill the king”
No one is subject to the king for what he thinks in his heart - until now.

“y estás en tu casa, donde eres señor de ella, como el rey de sus alcabalas, y sabes lo que comúnmente se dice, que debajo de mi manto, al rey mato.”

“thou art in thine own house and master of it as much as the king of his taxes and thou knowest the common saying, “Under my cloak I kill the king;”

now watch that get me audited or something...

Seems like the Baptists are the only ones who don’t open their arms in full rainbow-flagged acceptance of homosexuality

They don't in part because to do so would mean a huge walkout of people AND contributions.

This sergeant is a brave man. He has principles. I see that in many of the Baptists I have met.

Two of my brothers have joined the same Baptist Church, so I have gone there for various things and have been impressed.
