Clues found in 'De Locus Sanctis' written in 670 AD by abbot Adomnàn. It was supposedly based on a pilgrimage made to Nazareth by a bishop Text says how Jesus' home was between two tombs and below church. Dr Ken Dark says house located beneath Sisters of Nazareth Convent. is evidence of a Byzantine church here with two tombs in its crypt. One of the doorways has survived, as has part of the original chalk floor
In an article Professor Dark said that there was 'no good reason' why the courtyard style house was not the boyhood home of Jesus.
He has been researching the ruins since 2006 and published his findings in Biblical Archaeological Review, a respected journal.

And interesting article on what may be the boyhood home of Jesus in Nazareth. Holy Land archeological ping
I’m sure the local muslims have already put this site on their ‘to do’ list.
Another tourist trap selling medals and statues coming up
Beat me to it!
I thought Joseph owned the house.
Through a glass, Darkly.
Or object of more pilgrimages?
I try not to be too hard on Jesus junk. If atheists loathe it, then it likely does some good by being around.
Well that is to be expected. This is the Holy Land we are talking about. :)
Yea.. wish it could still be pristine and we could walk those streets in safety ... That is on my bucket list... but my bucket is old and running out of water.. so i may never make it
Thanks for the post and the ping. Very interesting.
I thought Jesus “grew up” in Egypt.
You will make it. If not now then in the millenium when we reign with Christ. That thought comforts me as I long to see Jerusalem as well, but it isn’t in the cards any time soon for me eitner.

I agree totally.
Thanks GreyFriar for the topic and ping, and thanks Fiddlstix for the link, will ping the list or at least add the ping message when I’m in position.
