  • Unemployment Numbers

    10/06/2012 3:32:41 PM PDT · by truthandlogic · 3 replies
What a joke! Everyone knows the latest released numbers are crap. It is clear that the household number is based on a survey of 1/2 of 1%. The RNC or PAC should hire a polling agency to conduct their own unemployment survey, publish the numbers and expose the lies from the labor board. Of course no media outlet would run the story, but it would be better to have true numbers out to expose the lies that are happening. Next month numbers will adjust the unemployment rate to 2% and many will believe it. The rats are trying to take...
  • THERE IS NO HYPERINFLATION IN IRAN – The Real Story Is Much More Interesting

Contrary to reports, there is no hyperinflation in Iran right now at all. In fact, the Western sanctions imposed on Iran's oil trade are failing miserably to meet their objectives. And a regime collapse – or even, coming short of that, another popular uprising reminiscent of June 2009 – seems further away from Iran than ever. Meanwhile, the Iranian regime is using the current sanctions imposed against it by the West as a weapon to weaken its own fiercest domestic threat – the educated, relatively pro-Western Iranian constituency that comprises the middle class.
  • Will America reelect Obama, a two-bit banana republic dictator?

.At the close of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia on September 18, 1787, a Mrs. Powel anxiously awaited the results and as Benjamin Franklin emerged from the long task now finished asked him directly, `Well, Doctor, what have we got? A republic or a monarchy?' `A republic, if you can keep it,' responded Franklin. Indeed, most of the domestic miseries which America`s labor, businesses and investors now suffer are traceable to irrefutable violations of our constitutionally limited Republican Form of Government. During the past four years President Obama and his Administration has taken it upon themselves to not only ignore...

As of the time of this posting, the daily eastbound passenger train from Antonito, CO has just arrived and stopped at the depot. After the passengers depart, the two other live steam engines will separate the cars for servicing and arranging for Sunday's departures. All of this under blue skies and autumn fall colors. A Rasmussen post-presidential debate poll in Ohio shows Mitt Romney has pulled ahead of Barack Obama in the battleground state among those who say they are “certain” to vote. The poll shows Romney ahead 51 percent to 48 percent in this critical group. The Rasmussen Poll also suggests Romney’s strong debate performance has halted Obama’s momentum among all respondents with a statistical tie of 50 percent for Obama verses 49 percent for Romney. Among the 83-percent of Ohioans who have already made up their minds on who they will vote for, Romney leads Obama 52 percent to 48 percent, while...

Townhall Magazine subscribers got to know a little bit more about GOP Rep. Allen West's accomplished wife Angela in our June issue, and now, she is featured in a new campaign ad defending her husband, saying "recent attacks on my husband go too far." Here's Angela, in her own words:AngelaAnd here's another exclusive excerpt from our June feature on Allen West, written by Katie Pavlich, that tells you a little more about Angela's resume: When they met, West was stationed out of Fort Riley, Kan., and described himself as a lonely, single artillery captain. Have you noticed that we've seen a lot less of DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz recently? Since getting caught misrepresenting her own statements caught on tape in early September, she seems to have been relegated to the back bench. Wednesday night was the first presidential debate, and Democrats had their various surrogates on hand to talk to the media. Rep. Wasserman-Schultz gave interviews to Univision, 7 News Colorado, and what appears to be a pre-debate interview with an ABC affiliate. She'll appear on Bloomberg TV this Sunday and she has a new profile in Vogue of all places, but these...

"I mean think about that, your boss tellling you what is best for your health or safety," said Obama. "Let me tell you something, Virginia," Obama said, "I don't think your boss should control the care you get. I don't think insurance companies should control the care you get. I definitely don't think politicians on Capitol Hill should control the care you get. We've seen some of their attitudes, we've read about those. "I think there is one person who gets to make decisions about your health care, that's you," said Obama.

I met a woman from Malyasia about a month ago. I met her on one of the Christian social sites. So far she seems to be the real thing. She hasn't tried hitting me up for anything. From all indications, she appears to be who she says she is. I am taking all of the normal precautions one would take in this situation and using due diligence. She is a Christian and was born in the U.S. Her mother is from here and her father is from Malyasia. She has lived most of her life there. She works in the medical...

The Catholic Association is taking to task a pro-Obama group for an "incredibly intolerant" polling effort in Ohio, suggesting Catholics should not support Mitt Romney because he's a Mormon.A group calling itself "Catholics for Obama" is conducting push-polling in The Buckeye State, attempting to make Romney's Mormonism an issue. Obama supporters making phone calls on behalf of the group have several Catholic organizations outraged about the nature of the calls. In a scripted phone message, Catholics are being asked: "How can you support a Mormon who does not believe in Jesus Christ?" Maureen Ferguson is senior policy advisor for The...

It was a scene typical of the times in Israel. On a Be'er Sheva bus carrying mostly elderly Jews, an Arab boy began singing out loud in a way that seemed calculated to convey his disdain for his fellow passengers. Repeated attempts by passengers and the driver to get the boy to pipe down only resulted in more disruption, as the boy was joined by another, younger boy, in their annoying song. Push came to shove, shove came to kick, and the boys were taken off the bus, which drove away – but not before the boys had thrown a...

No question about it: Mitt Romney struck gold with his commanding performance in Wednesday’s first presidential debate. The Rasmussen polling firm reported Friday the results of new polls in the crucial swing states of Florida and Virginia, and in each of them Romney got a boost. Romney now leads by 49 percent to 47 percent in Florida, while in the previous Florida poll, taken slightly more than three weeks earlier, it was Obama who led by 2 percentage points. In Virginia, Romney leads by one point, 49 to 48, while in the previous poll, also taken a bit more than...

The IDF suspects that the small UAV intercepted Saturday morning by IAF jets over the northern Sinai was launched by Iranian proxy militia Hizbullah. The drone may have been searching for targets for Iranian attacks. The defense establishment has been looking at the fragments of the UAV, which fell in the area of southern Mount Hevron. According to reports, Israel initially suspected that it was launched from Sinai, but by Saturday evening, military sources said the military investigation showed the UAV had flown southward along Israel's Mediterranean coast before turning east over Gaza and heading into Israeli airspace. It is...
  • Election Voter’s Guides, Conservative Values?

I like to make informed decisions about candidates, but sometimes it is difficult to sift through sound bites, propaganda and media bias. What do the individual candidates really stand for, and what is their record? It is especially difficult finding any local information about judicial races. I spent long hours looking for voter’s guides, with specific information to make informed election decisions. One helpful resource is Citizens for Community Values (CCV), http://www.ccv.org/resources/election-information/ .Who is CCV? “Citizens for Community Values (CCV) exists to promote Judeo-Christian moral values, and to reduce destructive behaviors contrary to those values, through education, active community partnership,...

Friday’s employment report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows 114,000 new jobs in September and a drop in the rate of unemployment from 8.1% to 7.8%. As 114,000 new jobs are not sufficient to stay even with population growth, the drop in the unemployment rate is the result of not counting discouraged workers who are defined away as “not in the labor force.” According to the BLS, “In September, 2.5 million persons were marginally attached to the labor force.” These individuals “wanted and were available for work,” but “they were not counted as unemployed because they had not searched...

When an incumbent Democratic president is virtually tied in a congressional district he carried by high double digits in 2008, and is losing in the suburbs of his hometown, there could be trouble brewing. In August, a poll by the Joliet, Ill.-based polling firm of McKeon and Associates, found President Obama leading challenger Mitt Romney in Cook County, which includes Chicago and its suburbs, by a 12-point margin 49-37. That would seem to be a comfortable edge, but it is significantly smaller than traditional margins needed to outweigh the more Republican downstate vote... Now comes a new poll from WeAskAmerica...

VIRGNIA BEACH, October 6, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com)—The Radiance Foundation, in partnership with the Virginia Coalition for Life, has launched a wide-scale TooManyAborted.com billboard campaign in Hampton Roads, Virginia, with the messaging: “Fatherhood Begins in the Womb.” Twenty-one billboards and more than 100 bus and light rail posters have been placed throughout the region to raise awareness of the impact of fatherlessness on (born and unborn) children. The pro-family, pro-adoption initiative challenges the culture of abandonment and death that Roe v. Wade has fostered since 1973. In the early 1960s politicians raised the alarm about a 25 percent fatherlessness rate in the...

The first presidential debate of 2012 is now behind us. The reviews suggest that many were surprised at how well Mitt Romney did and how weakly President Obama performed. The Instant Polls conducted by CBS and CNN showed Romney as the big winner. In fact, CNN found that Romney emerged with the largest advantage from any debate since they began the instant debate poll three decades ago. This leads to two questions. The first is: How much of a difference will it make? As I noted last week, debates rarely have a major impact on a campaign, but a small...
