So, Obama came to Madison this evening. He was lying through his teeth, saying that Republicans were going to cut student financial aid, send jobs overseas, and increase taxes on the middle class. I was seated on Bascom Hill, so I was not in the rally. I held up a Walker for Governor sign and was called an idiot and a nazi for doing so by some older woman (likely a professor or faculty member). What was distrubing was the lack of UW-Madison College Republican support.

Not even dark clouds and the threat of rain could keep Patriots from across the nation from marching on Capitol Hill today, as they did one year ago. The march began at the Washington Monument and proceeded up to Pennsylvania Ave. to the Capitol lawn. Among the speakers were Tito the Builder: Rep. FRONT GATE NOTES This is Tea Party Weekend in Washington and a large number of Tea Party attendees spent their Friday night with the DC Chapter of Free Republic! Over 60 visitors joined with DC Chapter members to salute the troops and their families. FRONT GATE NOTES Twas the night before the Restoring Honor rally on the National Mall, and we were joined by a number of visitors who were in town for the rally. Over 40 DC Chapter members and visitors had a great time saluting the troops and their families. Visitors were from St Louis, Connecticut, Syracuse, Wisconsin, Raleigh and Miami. In a demonstration of the overwhelming support of mainstream America for conservative principles, Glenn Beck's 'Restoring Honor' rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. is drawing 'hundreds of thousands,' according to McClatchy Newspapers. Early reports indicate that so large is the crowd that attendees were having difficulty hearing the speakers.
