The wacky dishonest left wants you to believe that their crowd yesterday matched the Glenn Beck rally last month. Well, here’s an overhead shot from yesterday’s astroturfed One Nation rally posted at the left-wing Huffington PostAnd, here is a crowd shot from Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally in late August. So who are you going to believe? The leftist media or your lying eyes?
  • AAR- President Obama's speech in Madison and protest

    Myself
So, Obama came to Madison this evening. He was lying through his teeth, saying that Republicans were going to cut student financial aid, send jobs overseas, and increase taxes on the middle class. I was seated on Bascom Hill, so I was not in the rally. I held up a Walker for Governor sign and was called an idiot and a nazi for doing so by some older woman (likely a professor or faculty member). What was distrubing was the lack of UW-Madison College Republican support.

FRONT GATE NOTES For the second consecutive Friday, Mrs Trooprally sent the following report from last night’s Support the Troops and Families rally at Walter Reed. We thanked and talked to over a dozen soldiers tonight. Dusk is coming earlier to normal rush hour. By the time cars pass us it is dark. We had 3 cars that we told to turn their lights on. The weather was balmy, like the beach, hot and sweaty, we could take! however, it was a full moon! Oh yeah, red light runners and cars cutting others off. All this in front of...

FRONT GATE NOTES Mrs Trooprally sent the following report from last night’s Support the Troops and Families rally at Walter Reed. A wounded warrior came out and talked with us. He thanked us for being there. Later a uniformed soldier stood and talked with Trooprally for a while. He was WRAMC staff and expressed appreciation for the DC Chapter of Free Republic’s presence on the corners. They discussed Free Republic and some of the memorable Walter Reed rallies. 3D-Joy spent her last Friday evening of this year with us, and will return early next year. She has been a...

Not even dark clouds and the threat of rain could keep Patriots from across the nation from marching on Capitol Hill today, as they did one year ago. The march began at the Washington Monument and proceeded up to Pennsylvania Ave. to the Capitol lawn. Among the speakers were Tito the Builder: Rep. Mike Pence: The Gatlin Bros. sang "America the Beautiful" and a new rendition of "All The Gold in California," in a bank in the middle of Beverly Hills in Nancy Pelosi's name!

Over a 48 hour period, the 15th MEU/PELARG team conducted offensive air operations in Afghanistan resulting in the deaths of 5 confirmed enemy fighters, provided disaster relief in Pakistan to 120 victims who had been without aid since July, and seized a pirated vessel, rescuing a crew of 11 hostages and detaining 9 suspected pirates off the coast of Somalia. A busy couple of days and an impressive battle-rhythm by any standard for this dynamic Navy-Marine Corps team. (snip) The details of what happened next are important as they highlight the individual actions of 24 highly trained shooters who were...

And a few wounded warriors stopped by. The Garrison commander also spent some time with us. In a demonstration of the overwhelming support of mainstream America for conservative principles, Glenn Beck's 'Restoring Honor' rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. is drawing 'hundreds of thousands,' according to McClatchy Newspapers. Early reports indicate that so large is the crowd that attendees were having difficulty hearing the speakers. A quick scan of mainstream news outlets that have done actual estimates this morning indicates that attendance at this point is between 300,000 and 500,000 people. And attendees are still arriving at the rally, which began some 90 minutes ago. Newsbusters is live-streaming the event. Michelle Malkin reports that...

FRONT GATE NOTES A lot of energy on the four corners tonight! Visitors Sandy and Teresa from Toms River, NJ joined us. They are part of Eagles Up and every Saturday (noon to 1pm), they are in front of FT Monmouth countering their moonbats. Also joining us was Paltz, a FReeper and Protest Warrior from Virginia. Adding to the mix were four “little Trooprallys” who more than held their own. A soldier leaving Walter Reed in his car, parked, and joined us for awhile holding a sign. Lurker Bill had big speakers up playing great patriotic music which was...

FRONT GATE NOTES Vacations, high temperatures and humidity and violent storms have impacted our Friday nights in July and August. However, Mrs Trooprally commented: “Tonight was a beautiful cool evening with no bugs! It was a good night to catch up with each other. There was no bus tonight as the Wounded Warriors went to the Washington Nationals baseball game.” Walter Reed Anti - War Protester News Moonbats hung their signs wherever they wanted, as Walter Reed did not restrict posting on their property. Just another wasteful night for these losers. HONOR ROLL for August 13, 2010, Mr and...

FRONT GATE NOTES Below are Trooprally’s notes on the 276th consecutive DC Chapter FReep at Walter Reed. This was an interesting night. First, the buses left late. Second, we couldn’t determine whether there were one or two buses. Third, almost everyone showed up late. Trooprally said it is going to be a long night. Well it was! The DAV bus showed up way past 9:00pm, and then we waited and waited, for the Big Bus to show up. As we were leaving, the Big Bus arrived. Big Bus had made two stops tonight picking up the Wounded Warriors and...

FRONT GATE NOTES 99 degree heat didn’t deter the DC chapter on its 275th consecutive Friday night at Walter Reed. Nor did it keep Wounded Warriors from walking out the front gates to wherever they go. We were able to speak with a number of them and two plus a mom, in particular. More about that later. 3D-Joy was celebrating her birthday and we all enjoyed cupcakes, a gigantic sub sandwich and cold sodas. She was accompanied by her daughter Linda. 3D-Joy had a pleasant surprise, when a driver pulled his car over, stopped, slid into the passenger seat,...

FRONT GATE NOTES The Fourth of July celebrates our founders who had the courage and bravery to declare us Citizens, not Subjects of King George. On this Independence Day, the DC Chapter of Free Republic salutes our military, all wounded warriors, and their families who continue to ensure our Liberty. A number of soldiers coming and going, all evening, past us on this July 4th weekend. Although many Washingtonians leave for the long weekend, traffic was brisk on Georgia Avenue, and many honks and waves were directed towards our Support the Troops Signs, Banners and Flags. In addition to...

FRONT GATE NOTES The past two weeks have gone fast, and with Father’s Day on June 20, Kburi got a little behind in the AAR world. So this week we are combining the past two weeks! The DC Chapter has now completed 271 consecutive Friday nights in front of Walter Reed. June 18 and June 25, 2010Mrs Trooprally wrote the June 18, 2010 AAR:“Friday,(the 18th), you couldn’t of asked for a more beautiful night in the 70's . FRONT GATE NOTES Tonight was a little different in that there were two instances of anti-troop sentiments directed at us. These were specific and verbal, one was directed at us and one was directed at the troops. In one case a woman pulled over and made disparaging comments about our motives, and the other was a slow drive-by with invective yelled against our troops. This left’s rhetoric has been toned down over the past year and a half, but the reason we are here is to support the troops and their families. That includes standing between the anti-whatever they...

FRONT GATE NOTES Tonight’s 268th consecutive Friday night report is from Trooprally. Being almost a perfect evening, just a bit humid, there were a lot of soldiers in 'n out of Walter Reed. One soldier, double leg amputee, came out on a sedgway for a trip to the local McDonalds. Since he unexpectedly zipped by us on his way out, we had ample heads up on his way back and we were able to talk a bit. Sidewalk construction (Stimulus Funds at Work) made RongKirby's southwest corner inhospitable for FReepers and banner. But since he had car troubles and...

FRONT GATE NOTES Banners, signs and flags played a prominent role in sparking honks, waves and comments all night. Although the forecast called for possible thunderstorms, we got only a few drops. One military wife driving into Walter Reed pulled over to talk and to thank us for being here. Her husband had lost a leg and we thanked her and her husband for their sacrifice. Other Notes – Worth NotingCarla and John from New Jersey visited all evening for the third time in a year. Some of us will see them along Constitution Ave during Rolling Thunder. Their...
