  • Obama through Muslim eyes--He is seen the world over as either Muslim or ex-Muslim.

How do Muslims see Barack Obama? They have three choices: either as he presents himself, as one who has "never been a Muslim" and has "always been a Christian"; or as a fellow Muslim; or as an apostate from Islam. Reports suggests that while Americans generally view the Democratic candidate having had no religion before converting at Rev. Jeremiah Wrights's hands at 27, Muslims the world over rarely see him as Christian but usually as either Muslim or ex-Muslim. Lee Smith of the Hudson Institute explains why: "Barack Obama's father was Muslim and therefore, according to Islamic law, so is...

Muslim B. Hussein Obama is being highly favored by Islamics in the United States. Per MosqueWatch.com: Muslim Congressman Keith Ellision endorsed the 2008 presidential campaign of Sen. Obama saying "He speaks with a unifying spirit." He said he supports "Obama's message of an open and fair economy, a balanced prosperity and clear opposition to the war in Iraq." National and International Muslim American Leader Imam W.D. Mohammed endorsed Sen. Barack Obama saying "He is the best candidate for the Presidency." All the more, Muslims worldwide are giving their applause to B. Hussein Obama. In addition, the Nation of Islam with...

YOU CAN'T FUEL ALL OF THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIMEJune 25, 2008 Liberals dismiss studies that show a link between abortion and breast cancer, claiming they are biased because the people promoting the studies are "anti-choice." For the same reason, no one should believe the Democrats' "energy" policies. Democrats couldn't care less about high gas prices. The consistent policy of the Democratic Party, going back at least to Jimmy Carter, has been to jack up gas prices so we can all start pedaling around on tricycles. Environmentalists are constantly clamoring for higher gas taxes as the cure-all to their...

WASHINGTON (AFP) — Barack Obama set his sights on November's general election Saturday as he campaigned in Oregon, where he hopes to declare victory in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. Obama has said Tuesday's primaries in Oregon and Kentucky could mark the end of his drawn-out battle with rival Hillary Clinton, and his campaign pressed home that message by announcing a symbolic return to Iowa that day. Iowa was the scene of the Illinois senator's first victory in the 2008 presidential nominating race, and his campaign noted Saturday it is "a critical general election state that Democrats must...

In tonight's Democratic presidential debate between Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama on ABC TV, former Clinton staffer George Stephanopoulos asked Obama about his association with the former Weather Underground terrorist, Bill Ayers.Stephanopoulos noted that Obama had attended a 1995 political meeting (which kick-started Obama's political career) at Ayers' home and that his campaign had said their relationship was 'friendly.'Obama complained that he was being held accountable for the actions of a man that occured "40 years ago when I was 8 years old" and said that Ayers was now a university professor.Besides his participation in waging war on the...

The Obama campaign has made political points over Hillary Clinton’s dishonest comments about coming under “sniper fire” in Bosnia, but Obama also has some opportunist lies for which to account. The Washington Post calls it “overstating,” but make no mistake; this is a flat-out lie: Obama Overstates Kennedys’ Role in Helping His Father.

Everyone is pilling on Obama right now. I'm afraid of two things: blowing the utility of the dirt too soon before the election and getting stuck with Hillary instead. Obama is the easier one for McCain to beat. I don't care what polls say right now. He'll be much easier when it's a one on one show. Hillary would be much tougher to defeat than Obama. Also, getting all this J.Wright stuff out there now may make the media and public numb to it before election day when it is more important.

Politicians know a troublesome story has “broken through” the Eastern media echo chamber when Jay Leno is laughing at them. In the case of the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., retiring pastor and outgoing spiritual adviser to Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), it took less than 48 hours. The fracas started Thursday morning, when ABC’s “Good Morning America” ran a Brian Ross expose on Wright that included old video of him saying: “The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God bless America’? No, no, no. Not God bless America....

Hillary Clinton denied leaking the photo of Barack Obama wearing a turban, but her campaign manager says that even if she had, it would be no big deal. "Hillary Clinton has worn the traditional clothing of countries she has visited and had those photos published widely." Sure she did. And George W. CINCINNATI (AP) — Republican John McCain quickly denounced the comments of a radio talk show host who while warming up a campaign crowd referred repeatedly to Barack Hussein Obama and called the Democrat a "hack, Chicago-style" politician. Hussein is Obama's middle name, but talk show host Bill Cunningham used it three times as he addressed the crowd before the likely Republican nominee's appearance. LORAIN, OHIO -- Barack Obama today defended his and his wife's patriotism after she was criticized last week for saying she's proud of America for the first time in her life. “What she was referring to is this was the first time she’d been proud of politics in America,” Obama told reporters after touring the National Gypsum plant here. “She spoke about how she’d been cynical American politics, for a very long time but she’s proud of how people are participating and involved in ways they haven’t for a very long time.” On issues of his own patriotism, Obama said...

Attempting to reassure anxious donors, Hillary Rodham Clinton on Sunday outlined a road map she said she will follow to beat Barack Obama in the Ohio and Texas primaries March 4. Clinton insisted that her campaign is on track and moving forward, despite losing 11 contests to Obama since Feb. 5. "I am very optimistic and extremely positive about what we're doing as we go forward in these states," Clinton said of Ohio and Texas, two delegate-rich states on which she has pinned the future of her candidacy. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama defended himself and his wife Sunday against suggestions that they are insufficiently patriotic. After a town hall meeting in Lorain, Ohio, a reporter asked Obama about "an attempt by conservatives and Republicans to paint you as unpatriotic." The reporter cited the fact that Obama once failed to put his hand over his heart while singing the national anthem. Obama replied that his choice not to put his hand on his heart is a behavior that "would disqualify about three-quarters of the people who have ever gone to a football game or baseball game." The reporter...

Watchdog groups are questioning why it took Sen. Barack Obama more than a year to disclose additional details of his dealings with indicted fundraiser Antoin "Tony" Rezko. While Rezko was known to be under federal investigation, Obama toured a Chicago-area home with him to get his opinion of the property, Obama's campaign revealed to Bloomberg News for a story published Monday. Republican Jews assailed U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) for saying he wanted a summit of the United States and Muslim nations. Obama, a contender for the Democratic presidential nomination, said in a recent interview with Paris Match magazine that he wanted such a summit to start "honest discussion about ways to bridge the gap that grows between Muslims and the West." SPARTANBURG, South Carolina (CNN) – At a campaign event Saturday, Sen. Barack Obama called his distant cousin, Vice President Dick Cheney, "a crazy uncle in the attic." Obama was referencing the recent revelation by the Vice President's wife, Lynne Cheney, that he and the Vice President are distantly related. "For the first time in a long time, the name George Bush will not appear on the ballot," he told the crowd of about 500 people at Converse College in Spartanburg. Asked about the decision Wednesday in an interview with KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the Illinois senator said he stopped doing so shortly after the attacks and instead hoped to show his patriotism by explaining his ideas to citizens.
