From up here in the Idaho panhandle it is both curiously amusing and surrealistically troubling to watch what is happening across our country as if we are floating in the sky on a saucer ship, looking down in stunned disbelief as the media desperately tries to tell all who will listen that what they are seeing isn’t really happening. I have long been curious about the pride that’s taken in the trophies, plaques, awards and degrees that decorate the shelves and walls in liberal society. I find it impossible to reconcile the joy those recipients carry. Such awards apparently gain importance when presented at a glamorous event or through an extended media campaign. “Rope a dope.” While the media devotes 24 hours a day to putting convoluted and sometimes just plain foolish “political contributors” on TV to talk about the ins and outs of the senate Kabuki Theater, the democrats are giving millions of their low information followers a chance to say, “ME TOO” once again. They will be unified in the belief that Trump got away with urging people to burn the capitol and kill the democrats because the trial was rigged.

For the last month, conservative pundits have predicted the ever-imminent dropping of Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on his investigation into the circumstances surrounding FISA surveillance of former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page. Horowitz’s report will likely provide new and damaging details surrounding the FBI’s use of the FISA court to spy on Page. More importantly, the conclusion of Horowitz’s probe frees Barr to conduct a broader and more exacting investigation into all aspects of the Russia collusion hoax.

I believe it is the duty of our electeds in congress to give the American people a full and prolonged trial in the Senate.
