Mid-South drug addiction has apparently hit a new low. Police say some addicts are actually ripping pain patches off the elderly in nursing homes and elsewhere. There were two mesmerizing moments I will always remember from the viewing and funeral. One was Nancy Reagan's heartbreaking look as she saw the casket. As someone who believes that life is full of unexpected big and little ironies that eventually catch up with the bad guys, the last few days have made me think.
