  • Dems & Trial Lawyers: Pushing discovery extortion through proposed Sunshine in Litigation Act

Leave it to democrats to always push filling the coffers of their biggest contributors. It’s “full employment” antics for both of them. So they collude to find warm and fuzzy labels for draconian legislation. They may as well tell us, “Oh, Joey and Addie are just moving people around to create employment opportunities,” as we collectively recoil from the horrors of Josef Stalin and Adolf Hitler. And, so, the “Sunshine in Litigation Act” has re-entered the legislative calendars of both the House (HR 592) and Senate (S 623).
  • Hey, Obama. they’re killing protesters in Syria. Can we kill them back? Please?

I’m digging this whole “world’s cop” routine. I mean, I know it was sledgehammer they used against W, as in “we ain’t the world’s cop,” but now that Barry & the Bull Dykes are in charge, the rules have changed. It seems that we have authority to seek out leaders of sovereign nations that have “lost the will of the people” and are “killing indiscriminately” and will cause a “massacre” if we don’t step in.

It’s a terrible thing to watch a person dissemble. Most of us have witnessed it; it’s never pretty. The next-to-end stage is truly shocking – that’s where the person is in utter free fall. All previous norms and morals have been jettisoned. He flails through the day in a retro-evolutionary manner which is the strongest argument I’ve ever seen for Darwin’s musings. If presented to Her Majesty Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and of Her other Realms and Territories, Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the...

It turns out that CREW is just another in a long line of libscum outfits that mislead the public with their cute names. Read this about their grand pooba: Melanie Sloan serves as CREW’s Executive Director and is a nationally recognized expert on congressional ethics. Prior to starting CREW, she served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Columbia where, from 1998-2003, she successfully tried cases before dozens of judges and juries. Before becoming a prosecutor, Ms. Sloan served as Minority Counsel for the House Judiciary Committee, working on criminal justice issues for then-Ranking Member John Conyers

The Israeli Defense Forces have released the definitive recreation of the Mavi Marmara incident. Computer animation, live video -- it’s all here. These videos should close on the book on the terrorists, as well as any NATO membership for Turkey.
  • How fun: Al Qaeda's first issue of “Inspire”

AQ’s first issue of “Inspire” is on the streets. Here’s the link. The first thing I learned just grated me: Will these clowns pick a single spelling of whatever they want to call themselves? Now we have “al-Qa’idah” will some slash over the second “a.” It’s like that nutcase running Libya – one name, a dozen spellings. Aggravating.
  • Pennsylvania’s Republican Roots are about to flourish, again

Pennsylvania has been a democrat state for a long time – or, as a conservative, so it seems. The governor, both senators, and the House delegation by a 12-7 margin are dems. (We all knew Specter was a dem a long, long time ago.) We (them – not me!) have voted for the dem POTUS candidate every four years since and including 1992 when George the Elder lost. Pennsylvania has more union members than the national average as a percentage of the workforce since 1989, when such data was first gathered. The two largest population centers – Philadelphia and Pittsburgh...

In a reapportionment case, Erfer v. Com. (794 A.2d 325 (2002)), the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania specifically held that the Commonwealth retained jurisdiction over all elections within the state, not just those for state office. Further, when discussing equal protection under the Pennsylvania Constitution, the court held, “The issue is whether the reapportionment plan has denied voters of a fair chance to influence the political process. This inquiry focuses not on the effects of a single election, but on the election process itself.” I find that instructive: What better argument can be made for denying a voter his or her...
  • Captain of Miva Marmara: “I Tried to Stop the Preparation Two Hours Before IDF Boarded”

Israel’s Foreign Secretary’s Department shared video of the captain of the Turkish ship “Marmara” testifying how the “peace activists” prepared to use violence with the soldiers enforcing the blockade. He claimed, “I tried to stop the preparations for violence, but with no success. I ordered the employees of the ship to collect all the iron rods (sticks)”.
  • Harry Reid’s thin election strategy: She’s a ‘loopy’ girl!

Reid is so old school and predictable. With a war chest of $6 million (he spent $6 million already running against himself), he plans to spend the entire time pointing at Sharron Angle, distorting her views and character. How utterly boring. If a man cannot stand on his own record, having seated in the Senate in 1987 and currently occupying the Senate Leader seat, then he is not a man.

Video. Cantor's office just released this hit piece on Obama. Going out official later this morning. Although Kalamazoo Central's crack about taking responsibility is not mentioned, the entire theme is pointing fingers, all to the soundtrack of the original Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Deficit reduction? My a**!! See Table 3 - the expenditures when fully phased in. More discussion coming. "CBO has just released an estimate of the budgetary effects of the health bill, H.R. 3590, that passed the Senate on December 24. Today’s estimate differs from the estimate for a slightly earlier version of the legislation that we released on December 19 in that it encompasses all of the amendments that were adopted by the Senate, reflects a revised assumption about its enactment date, and incorporates some technical revisions. We and the staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) prepared this...

(h/t Ballot Access News) One republican and two democrats have introduced three separate bills all designed to make it more difficult to get ballot initiatives in front of the voters. Let's put this succinctly: What is wrong with you clowns?

President Obama has authorized the United States Postal Service to deliver self-administered antidotes in the event of a large-scale biological attack. He has also asked for a plan that would use federal guns to protect postguys and postgals while on their delivery route.

First, let's presume that Lieberman, Nelson, Webb, Lincoln, and Bayh stay off their meds and continue to vote for ReidCare in the two upcoming required cloture votes. The result would be two different health-care bills - one from the House, and one from the Senate. The normal procedure afterward would be appoint conferees for a joint Conference Committee. The Committee would unify the bills, which would return to each chamber for a final vote. As we noted earlier, since the unified bill would be subject to debate in the Senate there would, therefore, be one final cloture vote (and one...
