I disagree, at least in part. Rove has to be taken out of the equation, true enough. But we cannot depend on people like Palin and West. The public views them both as losers (and rightfully so; after all, they both suffered losses within recent memory).

What we need are tea party candidates who not only CAN win, but who HAVE won.

True, which is probably the reason Ryan was so anxious to go on TV and say that Obama won “fair and square”. Barf! Ryan is just another phony “conservative” who is getting rich from playing us for suckers. He may not be as slimy as Rove, Rush, O’Reilly and the other scum that spent the entire election cycle lying to us, but he’s in there. My question is, how long are we on the right going to keep letting these guys make fools of us?

They told us over an over again that Barry was toast, but what were they basing that on? We on the right have got to stop buying books from these idiots, or donating money to them. Rove’s SuperPac spent $300 million of other people’s money, and for what? So that Rove could whine like a baby because he didn’t know what he was talking about?

These so-called “conservative intellectuals” have been taking us for a ride long enough.

This is exactly the kind of thing that we on the right have to STOP saying about black voters. What we are saying is that black people ONLY vote, or support candidates, based on race. A good example is the idiotic argument John Sunnunu made about General Powell when Powell endorsed Obama, i.e. that Powell was only supporting Obama based on his race.

Just before the election, one of the libtards on TV used this to show that conservatives are “racist”, in that “they don’t think black people can think about the issues for themselves”. I’m sure that helped us a lot with the black vote.

The libtard pointed out that Powell supported George W. Bush, then said sarcastically, “So Powell supported Bush because he’s black?” This is the trap that we on the right keep falling into, the trap of making statements about blacks that seem simple-minded. Sunnunu did not help when he was challenged on lefty news shows either. When a liberal commentator asked Sunnunu if he only supports candidates who are white, Sunnunu replied, “Well, of course not” Then the lefty sprang the trap, saying “Oh, so according to you, white people can think for themselves, but black people can’t.” Sunnunu stuttered for a few seconds, then it was time for commercial. I knew right then, that Obama had just won a few more votes.

The problem though is this: even though we know the libs fixed the election, we can’t prove it. By the time we finish arguing about “evidence”, Barry’s 2nd term will be over. Plus consider this: I heard one of the libtards on MSNBC saying something like, “Well the right wing are so fanatical they think that every election they lose is due to fraud, they can’t accept responsibilities for their failures, blah, blah, blah.” And of course, his libtard guest agreed, giggling and saying, “Yes the Republicans are just a bunch of Sore/Losermans.” oh, hardy har har. My point is that image is everything in this country,and we on the right are losing the image wars too. So fighting the results is not going to help our image problem at all.

And what good would that do? Most libs own property these days. I agree that we on the right need to find a way to limit the votes from the opposition, but property ownership wont do it.

Don’t be absurd. Renouncing our citizenship would be like saying, “If we can’t win every election, then we will just take our ball an go home.” How is that going to gain conservatism any support? I believe we can re-take the government through elections in 2016. THAT is the way to win, not stomping angrily away from the country we say we love, acting like sore losers. Let’s just get back into the fight until we win.

I agree. We need to knock off all this sour grapes nonsense. I still believe that conservatism is the best hope of our country, and I always will, but let’s be realistic. We lost an election. Ok, it’s happened before, and will happen again. The same can be said of he libs. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose. The thing for us to do is show that we are serious adults by picking ourselves up, dusting ourselves off, and getting back to work.

We also need to stop hyterically attacking the other side as being nothing but “Takers” and treating them with contempt. That is no way to get the support of the people. A lot of liberals are already calling us the “Blame Americans first” crowd. Not good. I’m not any happier about he election results than anyone else on the right, but we have to deal with it. We have to remind people that WE are the real patriots in America. We can’t do that by talking about revolution, succession, and all that other nonsense.

And don’t forget there is no such thing as the “liberal media”. This headline from this morning proves how “fair and balanced” the lamestream is:

It’s very important that we hit Obama hard on this. We have to show that he has lied about whether on not the mandate is a tax. This should be our number 1 talking point going into the general election for 2 reasons.

First, it will cause voters to question Obama’s honesty and his attitude toward tax increases.

Second, it will deflect attention away from Romney’s so-called “inconsistency” on the issue. Already, the leftists are seizing upon Romney’s statement this morning that the mandate is a tax. The leftists are using two arguments against Mitt. They are already calling him a “flip-flopper” for contradicting his campaign’s statement last week that the mandate is not a tax. (Mitt never said this, but one of his spokesmen did). The libs are also saying that if the mandate is a tax, then that means that Mitt raised taxes in Mass by instituting a similar mandate when he was governor.

So we need to hit Obama hard on two themes: that he is a liar, and a tax raising liberal. We need to keep his campaign on the defensive about this. This is the best way to turn undecided voters against him, and get Romney in the White House.

Because once it goes into effect, it will probably become popular, just as Medicare did in the 60s. By the time Nixon took the white house in ‘69, the GOP did not have the strength to repeal it, and we have been stuck with it for over 40 years. Let’s learn a lesson from Medicare, and get GOP candidates elected NOW!!

But when we DO “call out” the GOP, are we not essentially admitting that the liberals are right, and that Obama should be re-elected? In my view, conservative solidarity is a MUST if we are to have any hope of re-gaining the White House.

Furthermore, the leftists in this country do a fine job of “calling out” the GOP. The Marxists don’t need any help from us, but the GOP needs all the help and support it can get. That’s the only point I was trying to make.

I have to disagree SWAMP. What Obama is doing is somewhat clever. He is using the very same rhetoric that we on the right have been using for some time. Let’s be honest with ourselves. We conservatives have criticized numerous courts for enacting liberal laws through “judicial activism”. Obama is mocking us publicly, and I fear he may score some serious political points with his mockery. What we on the right must do is explain to the public the difference between “judicial activism” (which is what liberal judges engage in) and correctly interpreting the Constitution (which is what conservative judges do.) If we don’t answer Barry’s taunts with clear, reasoned arguments, he may win the battle, at least the battle of public opinion.

cripplecreek, the GOP is literally the only line of defense against Obama, and what Obama will continue to do to this country. I think it is wrong for anyone of us on the right to make such comments about the Republicans. When we accuse the GOP of being afraid of “heavy lifting” or when we admit that the GOP will “blame Obama for all their failures”, we do a great disservice to conservatives in this country. I’m sorry, but your remarks about the GOP sound just like leftist talking points.
